I do not miss carpet at all

Hardwood, and kitchen/batroom tile is the shit....I hated vacuuming and trying to keep carpet clean.....I don't even have a throw rug....Fuck all that shit....Hard surfaces are just so much nicer and I love the smell of Murphy's oil.  I also do not miss lenoleum. It's only good for a year or so, and then it curls up and it's a pain in the ass to replace.

Also, my old buddy from college had an apartment with concrete floors....I have never seen this anywhere else in all my life.

How do you floor.

My apartment has carpet and linoleum.  We wanted to switch apartments as soon as the last lease was up(one room to two room) so ours was a little under prepared.
Whoever lived here previously must have been a chain smoker who couldn't keep a hold of their cigarettes.  Probably an elderly.  There are  burn marks on the living room carpet as well on the linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom.  Additionally they shoved cigarette butts in the top of the door frame on the front door.

I have the couch covering the ones in the living room but I can't do anything with the burns on linoleum.  I thought about asking the manager to get it replaced but I don't know if I care enough.

Carpet everywhere except the kitchen and bathroom, which have tile. They replaced the carpet right before we moved in though so it at least it looks fairly clean and can be vacuumed easily. Carpet at my last apartment had clearly been through several tenants and didn't really look any different when I vacuumed it. I don't really mind it, my feet get cold on the tile in the winter anyway. Though when I get a house I'd prefer hardwood with a nice rug.

Speaking of vacuuming, I need to do it today.

I stained all the concrete in this house. I have no carpet.  I can use dust mops on everything.

Just wear socks.....But I actually like the feel of cool tile on my feet.  In fact, I never went barefoot until I moved here....I actually hated how carpet felt on my feet

My house is tile and hardwood flooring. Its nice but its always dirty and imppssible to keep clean without cleaning every single day.

I miss carpeting because it was easier to clean. Vacuuming tile and hardwood never seems to work well and the noise is unbearable.

I like soft carpet in bedrooms, but I'm all about that hardwood floor life. I'll even settle for Pergo... except in bathrooms, I like tile or vinyl planks that look like hardwood.

Most of the floors I have installed though, were in houses that had settled majorly and/or the owner was on a budget, so I have become accustomed to Pergo.

Concrete is actually becoming popular, both for floors and counter tops.
