......you know I've never thought about it

and most of the Big porn companies are super weird with their marketing (calling Bi actors "Gay for pay" or more recently "STRAIGHT for Pay" which is even weirder) and low-key abusive to their actors from what I've been told

Asexual porno? Now I'm intrigued.

I mean, if "feelin' myself" by Nicki Minaj feat. Beyonce isn't enough for you...

But for real, asexual pornography may or may not be a thing, because voyeurism tends to isolate one from the act enough to be pleasant enough, but still, what a great title for a genre of porn.

I must admit, the first thing that popped into my head when you said asexual porno was voyeurism.

Voyeurism is the inherent quality of so much film. Just read Mulvey's Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema, and Linda Williams' Body Genres.

It's not beyond a reasonable theory that, for some, watching porn is itself an act of participation through voyeurism. Yet for others there is a separation that allows it to feel that it's insufficient to diminish the sense of isolation and awareness of one's own body, which in itself can be arousing.

I think I might kinda get that last bit. Whenever I watch something, I never really fantasize about being there or participating. I'm always aware that I'm just an observer, and I honestly prefer it that way.
