So earlier today...

Still Me

Recommended Posts

their was a domestic disturbance in the upstairs apartment...LB said he could hear shouting and someone screaming “get off me”...said the slamming was so loud it was shaking the ceiling fan...so he called the cops...and they in cop fashion did nothing...so later tonight LB and I came back from dinner to find an ambulance and two kids inside...so we go about our business...then the cops showed up and this lady was telling them what she saw and leading them up to the apartment above us...so LB and I go out on the patio and tell the cops that we had reported a disturbance there earlier...and the lady says the apparently it was a fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend and she left to go to her ex boyfriends house...the ex boyfriend shows up and attacks the guy upstairs with the back end of a gun and his face is all split open.....man I want a fucking house....fuck these neighbors n shit

houses can be just as bad. i hear EVERYTHING that happens right outside my house. not sure if they can hear me out there or not

I'm going to hear just about everything no matter what happens. It's the problem with being a musician and having a degree in audio.

My neighbors don't realize I can hear EVERYTHING. The floor and ceilings are thin as fuck. At least, in a house, I can play my music loud as I want. I just have to worry about the neighbors being nosy shits.

townhouse you still do depending on how well insulated you are. i can't hear my neighbors in the other houses but i can hear people talking outside if they're right outside my window even though i'm on the third floor usually

Owning a house solves a lot of problems but also creates more.

Plus the process of buying a house for us was fucking horrible.

I can manage most of the maintenance stuff in a house. My dad at least showed me some practical skills.

I know the process for getting a house is a fucking nightmare. It's designed to be a nightmare for anyone born after 1955. They do that shit on purpose.

It's some bullshit. Good news is that I've already started the process, and gotten most of the preliminary stuff out of the way. Still need to start the bank stuff and offers without things getting taken off the market and shill bidders.

I considered a town house, but I'm still too close to people. Unfortunately, most of the houses in Dallas are sardine houses.

oh yeah the process. oh boy that's fun. do you have excellent credit, never have any late payments, at least 5% saved up for down payment? WEHEHEL SLOW DOWN THERE, WE NEED YOU TO FILL OUT THESE FORMS IN QUADRUPLICATE AND FAX THEM TO 7 DIFFERENT PLACES. OH AND WE'LL SELL YOUR LOAN TOO, SO GOOD LUCK GETTING YOUR TAX DOCUMENTS.

Yeah definitely get as much stuff done as possible.

The bank stuff is what killed us. We told them we only had so much time on our lease left where we were and that if they could garentee all there paperwork would be done in time then we'll let our lease go and buy the house. It fucking took them a month after when they said it was be.... Since I have no family close by and still have to get to work we had to pay for a hotel on top of everything else for a month.

Right there is where you fucked it up. My mom is a real estate agent (corporate real estate), and I KNOW it takes them a fucking century to do that shit, because I was their office monkey/gopher for a while. I’m waiting another year before getting finalized to get my shit in order. I don’t want hard credit inquiries done all at once, especially around the holidays, because that’ll fuck me.

Not worried about down payment. I’m just afraid of getting paperwork fucked.

Buying a house was pretty easy for me- bought it from the girlfriend's relatives and half her family works in a law office that did all the paperwork for us.

Yup.

My credit was and still is shit, but we found a way that worked.
