Aqua Teen Movie for DST

Well this is disappointing if true. Looks like DST programming won’t even be Toonami related or anything new or special.

 

Hopefully there is a suprise of some kind and this is a misdirection.

Welp, if this is true, Toonami stays as normal. Weird to be digging this out of the vault for AFTER Toonami, but there ya go.

 

This will be the first time since 2012 that Toonami hasn't gotten a one-night extension for DST.

I can see Adult Swim quietly eclipsing anything Toonami that's out of the block's timeslot.  Even Pre-Flight has Jason or Gill wear a Rick and Morty T-shirt every week despite the show having nothing to do with it.  Maybe I'm just worrying.

Aqua teen was always hit or miss for me. From Hand Banana level greatness to that stupid episode with the leprechauns.

 

The movie was a big miss though. ATHF just didn't work in that format at all. I remember being super into ATHF at the time and being really let down.

CN rarely releases a movie in theaters, and both of the past times, they were flops. First time, they didn't seem as bothered by it and Aqua Teen continued on Adult Swim without a  hitch. Second time, it was the franchise killer for Powerpuff Girls until the 2013 special came along.  .... now they're trying again with Waffle-Eating Superheroes, and I dread the day that comes out.

The hell? It's airing AFTER Toonami, in an even more dead zone than the end of Toonami.
