Master-Debater131 Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Nice of you to give us a warning before dropping 40 degrees in 12 hours
Sandstone Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 I love Fall time, it's my favorite season. Though I live in the South, so it's only moderately cool here until mid-winter. Trees get so pretty though. But they are better looking in the mountains of Tennessee. Simply beautiful landscape.

The weather has been changing so it seems like we get more rain than snow now. Upstate still gets hammered though. It's very gloomy and dreary most of the time. You can go weeks without seeing a blue sky but few days dip below zero anymore
Ric Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 It's been 80s here lately, pushing 90. Looks like it will be like that for atleast a week.

I have a friend from Buffalo. he will talk about the snow they get sometimes. Crazy amounts of snow. Thats one way we have you beat. It may be -20 but at least the sun is out

Thats one way we have you beat. It may be -20 but at least the sun is out Buffalo gets an insane amount of snow there was one winter where we had quite a few blizzards in southern ny but they got hit with close to or maybe over 20 feet in a matter of hours. lol it's probably the clouds keeping it warmer but damn I start missing the sun and sky. :catlol

Master-Debater131 Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 80 today, not cold at all sadly. 80 is really nice though
Sandstone Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 You guys dont have winter. You just have slightly-less-hot-summer. Everything out here is already changing. That is not necessarily true, it can get pretty cold here in the winter depending on the weather fronts. Although admittedly there have been years where it has been temperate. We do rarely get snow though, most of the time it's just light frost and nothing more but the temperature does fall below freezing at times.

Try having it be below freezing every day for a few months
CAC Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 80 is really nice though no it's too hot, upper 60's is where it needs to be.
Master-Debater131 Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 no it's too hot, upper 60's is where it needs to be. Nahhhh 75 is about the perfect temperature.

Does it stay cold like that for extended periods or does it quickly warm up?

I cant go more than a few days without the sun at this point Lack of sun I think affects my mood. I'm way more patient in the spring and summer months than in winter. Kinda sucks :catsad

Sandstone Posted September 16, 2017 Posted September 16, 2017 Does it stay cold like that for extended periods or does it quickly warm up? Depends on the year honestly. If we get many cold fronts, it stays between 25 to 50 degrees for several weeks or even a couple months, usually late December to early February. There have been a few years since I have lived here that have been temperate mostly though. So if anything I would say it is often more inconsistent than what some of you northeners get. That can be rather annoying.

Of course I'm basing this solely on how cold 55 feel from summer to fall and how warm it feels from winter to spring
