for pinball?

Other than slapping the shit out of both flippers, you should actually attempt to only use one at a time.  You should also attempt to slow the game down by cradling the ball on a flipper so you can aim shots. Once you get that down, you can use a whole arsenal of flipper skills to control the game.

yes indeed, i do. you don't get the combos and free balls just slappin around all willy-nilly like that.

pinball is the shit. there is a pinball museum somewhere in cali.... i forget where, that is only open once or twice a year due to the cost of keeping the machines on. it has some insane amount of machines to play in it... like 600 or so. its my dream to go there and play one of those days. <3

Yeah bro, I'm a pinball beast!  O0

OK not really but I'm alright at it. Knowing the rules of whatever table you're playing helps also, not just hit random shit.

Knowing rules and modes helps immensely, yes

I've been to the Hall of Fame in Vegas, and a few proper barcades like Ground Kontrol. Never 600 or so machines tho. I was 1 week away from buying a Judge Dredd machine before I got laid off, it was unfortunate.

::spin:: spensive! i don't think i will ever buy one.

there are zero barcades where i live. a couple where my sister is at about 35 minutes southeast of me tho, so sometimes i indulge. one of those places is actually a concert venue in the back of the house as well. whenever there is a show, i try to go at least 2 hours early so that i can play  :D  otherwise, the pool halls that had the most machines in town have closed, so i would have to go to a bowling ally just to find one... and those are smelly... and they only have the cheapest gross beer.

A decent Judge Dredd is only $2500, and if you wanna go older and simpler, EMs get as low as $250 depending on your area and such.

We have Casinos in Reno that have some, but are all poorly maintained. Honestly the best place here is actually a deli, Beach Hut Deli in Reno has 3 well maintained machines (LotR, Medieval Madness, and Ghostbusters) as well as a bunch of arcade machines. One of the theaters in town has a really well maintained Metallica as well.

The trick is to override the tilt detector mechanism.

If you can, yes, but you will end up damaging the machine. Sharp strikes are best for nudging as it keeps the plumbob from shaking around the ring too much.

Real machine, actually. However in the wild it would have a different back glass (The thing Paulie shatters) as there was only 3 of those designs made as props for the movie. The 2 unshattered ones are in collector hands.

To be fair, pinball is best played when inebriated.

Was up there at the beginning of this month. The new building is nice, though hopefully they will have it connected to the old one by the next time I head up there for even more room for pinball.

yeaaahhhh, $2500 is still a lot in my world for a game. i love pinball... but not THAT much  >:D  lol. that place i was talking about is called the pyramid scheme and they have 25 machines that are really well maintained. they take it kinda seriously tho, like free play nights and tournaments. i wanna say that for big tournaments they bring in an additional 25 machines into the concert venue... but i'm not sure, i haven't actually gone and just heard about it. i love pinball fo sho... but never have i ever been able to maintain a high score on a machine for very long, even at the pool hall  :|  but i can hold my own for a while.

these are the machines at the pyramid scheme. they have most of those you've listed plus some of my other favy's like KISS, Simpsons Pinball Party, Indiana Jones, and Attack from Mars. this is a pinmap that i had no idea exist until just now, so imma see if there are some other hidden gems nearby.

Well the trick to spending $2500 on a pin, is really spending $3000 and streaming that bitch on twitch. I'm buddies with a dude in Chicago who just gets drunk and plays pin on stream, it's a good time.

Yeah, the upstairs space had a cool vibe and cool machines. There are a bunch of cool rooms around the city for pinball. It's always been kinda popular here.
