And some food is pretty much inedible without salt! People got paid with salt in Roman times, after all, and for good reason! Maybe not human. Moria does look like a vampire. But with those stitches... I'm betting he was modified by Hogback.

Sketchor seems to think the early dubbed episodes would be subpar and we'd be stuck with lame terms for things under early Funimation that would stick 'til now. Meh, Funi even back then was miles beyond what we'd get from 4Kids just in terms of dub quality, and they were already doing their uncut DBZ tapes with edgier language and all the violence and sexual content still in. I personally never had a problem with early Funimation. I know they were complained about quite a bit back then, but I've always supported them. And you're right, the show would've been handled much better by them. So I'm not sure the argument of the shitty dub by 4Kids forced a better one later is much of an argument or consolation. Maybe One Piece would still have a ceiling on its popularity, simply because it's silliness and light-heartedness doesn't appeal to a good portion of the audience, but it'd certainly better off than it is now?

Moria can't free all the shadows if he's unconscious, either. So, Luffy would either have to slap him back awake, or kill him? Luffy already passed out, though! And yeah obviously Kuma will be a factor. The Straw Hats are going to have to get out of dodge, regardless. But it sure was nice of Perona to bring all the food (some of which was the Straw Hats!) and treasure to the Sunny!

He seems pretty cool. Straw Hats probably won't fight him now, though, since they're going to need to recover. Of course, Blackbeard and plenty of other ne'er-do-wells in the One Piece universe are still floating around. Mihawk and Aokiji are still out there, but I'm unsure of if I would consider them "evil", per se. Definitely antagonists, though.

The DVDs have made it to the timeskip (over 500 episodes in) and have no intention to stop. DVDs are sold in stores like Walmart and Best Buy, which only sell the titles that actually sell. There's absolutely no reason to believe OP is failing or in "limbo" in the states anymore.
