I'll watch Shenmue again since I am a fan of the games and enjoyed the series, but I'd rather have something new and just have the option to re-watch Shenmue on my own if I wanted.

Demarco is the boss and the buck stops with him. It's his job and responsibility to get shows on the block. And notice how when anything goes wrong or goes bad, it's not Demarco's fault according to him, not his department or out of his hands etc, but if praise is being lavished on Toonami for whatever it is, he is happy to accept it. Maybe people don't want to work with Demarco because he publicly complained about Sony freezing them out of getting stuff. That was unprofessional and extremely foolish. You shouldn't air dirty laundry like that because it can jeopardize future business deals and not make others want to work with you, and certainly not the people you are actively complaining about. Maybe people simply don't like Demarco and don't like how he behaves or carries himself. There may be other, business reasons like competitors offering more money, streaming services not wanting to share, or licensors thinking Toonami is irrelevant and not worth doing business with, but the way Demarco acts certainly isn't helping. Well, he recently made a somewhat "calming" tweet lol.

Anyway, that doesn't inspire much confidence, but at least Demarco said something. Not sure what the talented people thing refers to. Does he think people will do business with him out of sympathy? I don't blame anyone not knowing or remembering the random Bleach character, but how'd you forget InuYasha's Rin, haha? She's the one that most/first comes to mind for me and the first one I ever came across. Oh I see. So this Fate Rin is a pretty beloved character by fans and also the creators. The main things that have kept me away from the Fate franchise is the fact it is so huge and sprawling and not knowing where to start, the fact it originated from porn, and that whole "irrefutable order" thing sounds pretty... questionable. Also the fact it has a bunch of female versions of historical and legendary figures just seems odd and comes off that it as done for waifu purposes. Then I had someone tell me the Hellsing author also made porn and reused a lot of the characters from his porn in Hellsing, and that the porn supposedly isn't the main aspect of aspect of the original Fate visual novel, and Fate overall is mostly about epic battles. Of course, Reki also made a porn chapter of his own series that he called fan fiction and non-canon! I've also seen guides about watch order. And it's written by the Madoka author so it's probably pretty good. Though I think just watching in release order for the first time is probably the best and might suffice. They may not want to watch anything else after you've shown them Episode 1 and 2, plus the prequels spoil stuff from the original movies, if they have somehow managed to exist in this world and not gotten spoiled on all of that already lol. I have not looked further into the "irrefutable order" thing. I hope it isn't used for demented purposes in the story. I do not know why Toonami never aired any Fate series. Come to think of it, I don't think any of the staff ever mentioned it or even did a segment about it on Pre-Flight. I don't think any Fate series or the franchise overall was ever listed by them as a top fan request, either. Maybe Fate is not that popular in the United States (I could be totally wrong on that) or the fanbase doesn't feel the need for it to be on Toonami. Though it is pretty odd I can't remember Demarco or anyone else mention it even once. Not even to say they can't or won't get the series or aren't interested in it, don't like it, etc. Because they have done that a few times for shows. Yugioh, .hack, Panty and Stocking, and Darling in the Franxx come to mind. Toonami/Demarco said they flat out refuse to air any of those shows and Demarco even said he hates .hack. Of course we know of other shows that they wanted to get but couldn't.

Netflix is having problems? And an implosion? TBS and TNT won't make any scripted shows? That's pure madness! If Toonami doesn't get Bleach that will be an even bigger disappointment! It only makes sense since the series originally aired on ASA and Toonami! And again, I hope the anime fixes some of the issues last arc of the manga had. It's not hard to see why there is overlap between anime and wrestling fans. Wrestling is a "male soap opera" and so is Shonen, so it's a pretty natural overlap. Both wrestling and anime are also reviled by non-fans, so to be a fan of both is almost asking for trouble LOL. And to be fair, there are some animes, and some things that have happened in wrestling over the years, where you'd probably be better off getting caught watching porn than either one! Would you rather get caught watching HHH fuck a fake body of a dead girl, someone fed their own dog, Heidenreich raping Michael Cole, Snitsky kick a baby doll into the crowd over the miscarriage he said WASN'T HIS FAULT, or one of the SAO Rapisodes, certain scenes of Deadman Wonderland, Hellsing Ultimate, Code Geass, Tokyo Ghoul, Akame Ga Kill, or some garden variety vanilla porno? The way the fans of both act can be embarrassing as well. So, you really have to not care what people think to like wrestling or anime, or keep your fandom closeted. And it would be pretty silly for fans of only one or the other to cast aspersions on the other. Though ironically, anime is probably more tolerated than wrestling by non-fans at this point. That said, I don't want that bingo parlor pig sty AEW on Toonami, either! I've recently dropped it after getting fed up with the behavior of Toxic Tony Khan and his Asshole Acolytes. Hell, AEW fans are already paranoid about the new execs after the merger getting rid of AEW. Around 20 years ago new Turner execs got rid of WCW because they hated wrestling.

Only 2 weeks?! How the heck did they dub it that fast? I also remember going through the episode catalog on Funimation Now to watch something I missed, and it seemed like there were way more than just a couple episodes beyond what Toonami had shown. Of course, I was trying not to look too closely at anything, and just find the episode I was looking for, since I didn't want to spoil myself.

So after everything that happened I am not sure what the point of Nozomi was. But, you have the option to discuss her quite a bit in your conversations with Shenhua at the end of Shenmue II. Maybe she will come back at some point.
