I don't suppose just having the military launch missiles at the villain hideout would have sufficed?

Attack on Titan Final Season is getting a Part 3, due next year
ben0119 replied to Jman's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I was wondering why Bleach is having to take breaks too, if the manga is done. But the production values on this new series are pretty insane. Is it so the animators don't die? 🤣 -
Most of the people I saw raging against it were the right-wing dudebros. If it has legitimate issues, I really haven't seen that brought up. Anyway, Star Wars may not be in an ideal situation, but it's not as bad as DC, which is a total clusterfuck. And I agree with what was said in this video. Lucasfilm shouldn't announce anything unless it is concrete or even after it's started production.

rent-a-girlfriend Rent-a-Girlfriend is a depressing tease

I looked it up. This show could actually be interesting. https://myanimelist.net/anime/53149/Oemojisangjuui/reviews -
rent-a-girlfriend Rent-a-Girlfriend is a depressing tease
ben0119 replied to ben0119's topic in Anime & Manga
I did a simple search for Rent-a-Girlfriend review on YouTube, and found quite a few videos giving this show an ass-ripping. I didn't see any that said it's good. And I hardly see any genuine praise for this series in general. It's seen as a guilty pleasure, hate-watch, or so bad it's good type of show. Is that really what is keeping this show going?! If so, people need to stop! It's just fueling its continuation. And apparently people who read the manga all hate it but keep coming back every week haha. But if the series only gets worse after what the anime has covered, with the exception of one arc, I can't imagine continuing further. And yeah, chapter 218 with the cuck fantasy is the one that lived in infamy and finally caused a lot of people to throw in the towel haha. Here's another longer breakdown review on the shittiness of this series - And people in Japan don't even like it! -
I decided to make up for lost time and went on an anime watching spree, but I'm just doing some "easy watching" right now, a bunch of slice of life/fan service/romance shows. The last one I just watched was Rent-a-Girlfriend. When you read the premise of this show and watch the first episode, you can pretty easily guess how it is going to go. Kazuya will rent Chizuru, and eventually they will fall in love and become a real couple. But... the progress on that front is so slow and teasing and baiting? Then they end up creating a fake relationship that they have to keep playing up. Then we find out this has gone on for a YEAR. It is clear that Kazuya and Chizuru like each other, so why don't they just admit it and get together? Is it because the series is called Rent-a-Girlfriend and author Reiji Miyajima feels he has to keep that gimmick going? But... it has a third season, and it's based on a manga... which is still going?! How much longer can he drag this out? It's really annoying, because every time you think there will be progress in their relationship, it gets stopped short. The scene of "you're the one I want... to rent as a girlfriend" was REALLY frustrating. In theory, the result should be Kazuya and Chizuru get together, and they never have to tell their family that their relationship was fake. Also not really sure what the deal is with the evil ex Mami. Does she have any end goal, or she's just obsessed with Kazuya and wants to fuck with him? I really hope this show gets over the hump in the third season, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I honestly wonder if Reiji Miyajima is some kind of sadist or something. I can't think of who he is pandering to with this. I've said it time and again, but for all its faults, SAO didn't tease out the Kirito and Asuna relationship. They become a couple, full stop, we aren't strung along, and it's not the end goal of the series. I honestly wish this is how more shows handled it. I guess in a pure slice of life/romance series, with no action, it would be more difficult, and would have to just show the couple living their lives together, but I'm sure it could be done. But yeah, My First Girlfriend is a Gal, Yamada's First Time, and Ao-chan Can't Study were a lot better than this. This is not how I expected this show to be. I expected it to be more light-hearted and charming, and have more progress. Geoff Thew summed things pretty well in this video. I don't agree with him that Kazuya never learns ANYTHING or that he's as bad as he says (though I might be giving Kazuya too much credit,) though watching someone rip Rent-a-Girlfriend for 36 minutes was pretty cathartic. I need to find more videos like this haha. Oh, look at that (spoiler warning for video) - As I suspected, Reiji Miyajima is a total whackjob. He has a obsessive crush on Chizuru and may actually be jealous of Kazuya... There's spoilers, including distant manga spoilers, in this video, but I'm not even mad about seeing those spoilers, because now I know not to get my hopes up for what will happen in potential future seasons. This series makes me sick to my stomach. I definitely need a palate cleanser after this haha.

So that is how the cartridges worked. I knew he was using them to avoid the curse or something but wasn't sure exactly. I figured Bondrewd used the copies of himself to go down and then just left them there. But, I had thought the whole reason Bondrewd wanted the kids to go down was so he could watch the progress through Nanachi, since he wasn't able to go down himself. Since Bondrewd has already been to the sixth layer, it makes our heroes going down there a bit less satisfying now. Ok, so are we getting away from everything being completely logical and explained in detail with this series. Other things were explicitly explained how they worked, like the forcefield and curse. But it seems like this is more just straight up magic now. Oh, I didn't think about that. Could be. So the characters from the flashback are from 2000 years ago? Oh ok. I think Vueko could have helped them out in there, but oh well. I'm not sure how Riko and Nanachi will get out of this. Oh, a scene was cut from after the credits last week? I thought that comment (usually it's a joke,) is more reserved for fan service/ecchi series. That is what most of the memes of FBI OPEN UP are derived from. For Made in Abyss, the common comment should be more, this is a show that is going to mindfuck and traumatize for you life. I am never going to be able to get the image of the first person view of Prushka being vivisected out of my head. But, I don't think the show is tormenting the characters and viewers for the sake of it, I hope, haha. Overall the tone of the show is one of hopefulness, adventure, and friendship.

Ok, you're really going to link to more anti-SJW crap again? Do you know what other content is on that site? There's probably dozens of articles ranting about She-Hulk. I did a search and I was right, haha. And here's an article from their front page - https://boundingintocomics.com/2022/12/13/days-gone-director-john-garvin-calls-out-woke-reviewers-who-couldnt-handle-a-white-male-protagonist-looking-at-his-dates-ass/ That website is garbage. I think Andor had poor branding and marketing. Hell, if it was just called "Rebellion" or something, I'm sure it would've gotten better views. When I first heard about it, it didn't sound appealing to me, but the show ended up being pretty good. I'm sure Mandalorian will still do well as well.

Yup, finally: MHA S6 premieres this Saturday at midnight.

Well covid is mostly over with now (we hope.) But if they don't do any more appearances, then they don't have to answer questions from fans lol. -
Attack on Titan Final Season is getting a Part 3, due next year
ben0119 replied to Jman's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
I'm guessing the workload would be too much to finish it all in one go? Or it wouldn't, but it would take them like 5 years to make it with those production values haha. In that case, something like "Final Saga" or "Final Chapter" or "Final Act" would've been better. I can't think of a title that's particularly fitting for Attack on Titan, but you know what I mean. -
I looked over more of the cast lists for the dub. Why the heck were Ukitake and Shinji recast? Neither one of the original VAs are dead or canceled. What's more, Aleks Le is playing both of them? So he's playing three characters in this show, including Ryunosuke? All three of those characters have drastically different voices, so I hope he is doing a good job at them. I might have to watch more dubbed episodes now just to check that. Liam O'brien had a very distinctive voice. I really liked his work as Ukitake. He also played Dr. Tenma on Monster and Gaara on Naruto. Looks like he has done very little voice acting in the past 2 years. But he returned to play Gaara on Boruto (but not sure if that show or dub is still going and how much Gaara is in it,) so I don't know why he didn't return as Ukitake. On his Twitter, all he really talks about is Vox Machina and Critical Role... It is Roger Craig Smith who played Shinji. I liked how he played Shinji too. Roger Craig Smith is one of the major Sonic voice actors, so not sure if that is taking up too much of his time. Anne Yatco playing both Bambietta and Meninas is pretty odd. Especially since I'm sure those two will interact at least a decent amount. This show is doing a lot of voice actor recycling for some reason. I know the original series did that, but I thought that practice had mostly ended at this point. I can't get over that Lex Lang was/is the voice of Omaeda. It's far out of his usual range! Well, thank god Kyle Hebert is back as Aizen. Oh, David Lodge posted this tweet. I guess there really wasn't much chance of him returning to the role, unfortunately. He said he was even willing to return for low pay, for the fans. But... I can't find the tweet on his page. Did he delete it? Anyway, here is an article that still has it quoted. https://www.cbr.com/bleach-kenpachi-original-actor-slams-studio-ignoring-fans/

bleach Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Discussion
ben0119 replied to ben0119's topic in Anime & Manga
Ep 9 - Looks like some comedy scenes were spared. You couldn't cut too much more or Squad 0 would lose screen time. Ichigo caught Kirinji's arm and fractured his wrist, damn. And that hot spring burns most people! Hikifune looks like Majin Buu haha. Yes, eat! But this isn't normal food. It gives a power boost, says Hikifune! And she is the one who made artificial souls. Screw Kon! He's a stuffed animal! He doesn't need to eat food! Of course Hikifune would have a slimmed down form. Loses a bunch of weight after cooking. But she still ain't small haha. DAMN! I still think a bunch of the fat jokes got cut, though. 😧 I'm going to have to go back and check the chapter. New head captain... Shunsui Kyoraku! And FINALLY we get to see this animated! We've been waiting for ages! YACHIRU Unohana... the first Kenpachi! Man, never saw this coming, but now we know why everyone was so scared of her! Not sure what Zanjutsu is... but... one of them has to die. Damn. These Central 46 guys suck. You'd think they'd smarten up after Aizen killed all their previous members. Haha, they're so scurred of Kenpachi that he they asked Yamamoto to stop teaching him kendo after one day. Poor Isane. And Yachiru too. This is awesome to finally see. Wasn't sure if we ever would. My only complaint is how dark Muken is. It sure isn't done for censorship purposes, so must be a style thing. But I hope it gets brighter later so it's easier to see what's going on in the fight. Kenpachi gets stronger when he nearly dies and recovers. He's like a Saiyan lmao. Ep 10 - Yep, Kenpachi is sort of like a Saiyan. He nearly dies and comes back stronger. He subconsciously limits his power to around the level of his opponents so he can enjoy the fight more? Unohana is killing him over and over to make him stronger like a videogame exploit. 🤣 Ok, we got some extended battle scenes here, and more of Unohana using her Bankai. It definitely seems like the skeleton thing is symbolic and not literal... I think? But then, what the hell does this power do? Well, it looks cool, with that giant sea of blood, regardless. Wow... Unohana was actually happy that Kenpachi was able to wound her in that flashback? Kenpachi can tell that he is blacking out, but isn't exactly sure what is going on. Unohana has to die because of the Kenpachi rule, or because it's the only way to get Kenpachi to his strongest level? If it's the former, technically none of the Kenpachis after her should have counted, since she's been alive all this time. Either way, RIP Unohana. Kenpachi finally hearing that voice... Oetsu is... strange... to say the least. Bahaha pranked them with the pose. All those hotties were zanpakutos? I wonder if Mera is a zanpakuto too. Shut up, Kon. Yay Renji succeeded. But damn, after all that, Ichigo failed? Leave the Soul Society and NEVER return?! Not sure how Oetsu sent Ichigo back to World of the Living. Back in front of Kurosaki Clinic... Viz published this overview of sorts today. At the end, it tells us that we get episode 11 next Monday, then 12 and 13 both on the 26th. I must have lost track of time or read it wrong, because I originally thought there would be a short break before we got these last episodes. But, why is the anime taking a break after the first 13 episodes? The manga is done, so they can't catch up with the manga, and there will never be any need for filler. Is it so the animators don't die? 🤣 -
