Hey did i tell y'all im making some alcohol?
HardcoreHunter replied to SwimModSponges's topic in General Discussion
looks like a lot of tartrate crystals at the top. They don't hurt anything, but might make your booze a little gritty on the finals pours. Most of them can get removed through filtering them through a cloth. -
Is the a reason why poof is being autistic and down voting me?

Marriage in general is rarely financially beneficial. You pretty much just pay more money in taxes. Most people just do common law and don't get married because then they can get govt help for their children rather than having to pay the govt.

That was over at my friends plan. Though our neighbors have also complained about mowing our lawn. I'm even said it fucking takes a hot miniute to mow all our land. I have 5 acres, and my Great uncle has 5 acres, and my great uncle who died had 5 acres that we have to take care of since he passed back in the fall. It's not a small fucking plot that barely has enough space for some yard gnomes. It's like plots the size of a walmart.

Yeah my family had founded the town so we've had our plot of land for a long time. The woods that were next to us got cut down to put in a housing plan. So we now just have to deal with people who have no idea how to deal with neighbors who you can't be passive aggressive with via HOA. My friends HOA guy was crazy. When he first moved in a couple of years ago, his first HOA bill had a fine on it. He contacted the HOA and was like wtf is this for. The guy told him it was for not having the siding painted like he was told. My friend was like I've only lived here for 2 weeks, you must have sent that to the people who I bought the home from. The guy was all pissed and was like he didn't care $4k fine. My friend said fuck it I'll go to court then because you never sent me anything. He then called the last people who lived in the house and was like wtf you never told me I had to have this house painted. They said that they just had it re-painted last month, and gave him the number of the guy who painted it. So then my friend was like It's already painted, here's the guy's number you can talk to him. HOA guy was all pissed and said he demanded it to be painted again for he'd get a $4k fine. So this turned into my friend just saying fuck it I'll go to court if you're going to be like that, at which point the HOA president dropped it. I guess everyone in the plan hates that guy and he just goes mad with power. However nobody really wants to do the work for HOA so he doesn't get voted out.

Housing plan next to me has people who have never had to deal with people that don't live in a housing plan before. Pretty much they think mine and my great uncle's yards are parks. I assume they think this because they've lived their lives like fucking gypsies and can't comprehend land ownership. There was something they wanted to complain to me about, and sent their HOA over to talk with me. I told them I do what I want, don't live in their housing plan and to kindly fuck off. So since HOA didn't work they ended up calling the cops on me multiple times over dumb shit. One was that my dog was barking at them because they were in my yard. Another was my dog was running around in my yard without a leash, which is fine because I have an invisible fence. Another time I was burning some wood which is allowed. The one time the cop came down though they fucked up and were all chilling in my and my great uncles yards with their kids and dogs. The cop then rather than just told us that housing plan people are petty, and removed the people who were in our yards. One person even got a ticket because their dog was shitting in my 83 year old uncles yard and they didn't have a bag to pick it up. Funny enough it's been months since then and they've quit passive aggressively calling the cops on us. My friend lives in a plan and had an odd neighbor. The guy wasn't terrible, just did weird things or had weird complaints. Like would complain about my friend closing cabinets too hard or flushing the toilet at night. Also insisted that everyone on the block mow their lawn at the same exact time so he isn't bothered by people mowing their lawns at different times of the day. He also seemed like he was trying to hit on my friends girlfriend because he left her flowers and cookies from subway which is when things delved into a more creeper territory. I go over to my friends house for the Superbowl. After a while he gets brought up because we had the TV kinda loud. My friend said he's been fine and hasn't complained for a few weeks. I asked jokingly if he was dead, then that became a bit with my friend where him and his gf were joking about how they hadn't seen him taking his trash out or anything. A month later my friend calls me and is like yeah there's cops all around my block, my neighbor killed himself and has been dead for at least two months.

This dude wants to do an open mic on June 15th
HardcoreHunter replied to That_One_Guy's topic in Free-For-All
Saw someone try to do a mitch out at WVU, it was very cringe. Like you said though a tribute is one thing, open mic night is not meant for that. I do however like the meta nature of comedians realizing how cringe they were at one point, and will then do an imitation of themselves in the past doing a shitty imitation of someone else. I feel like that has some more personality to do and makes it something that is more theirs because they're making fun of themselves. Though there's also seems to be a fine line between telling a fun story about your life or childhood, and it becoming a ted talks. I feel like too many people use George Carlin as their idol to emulate. This is usually boomers that don't know what they're talking about, never understood the satire; and think a tight five is enough time to try and get political. A lot of people really just look at the success of a comedian rather than the road it took to get to that point. George didn't start out with political satire. He did an act and would work in a political joke, it went over well so he'd add more to the next act. After a while it is what became expected of him to be a political satirist. It wasn't an overnight thing, but he was doing it since the late 50s and 90% of the people just remember him for the HBO special he did in 08. -

Yeah seeing as I already have lung issues and had that lung biopsy back in march, I've really been avoiding most everyone lol. I know in my case it would be closer to a coin flip for my survival odds. -

I've seen her twice and nobody laughs at her stuff aside from her friends who are helping to empower her but also deeply embarrassed by her. What made it worse is that she did very little to change her act at all. It was just the same thing different marks in the audience. Then there was some girl who tried to copy Sam Kinison. The thing about Sam Kinison is that everyone knows after a point what you're trying to do. The thing is you really, really have to have a hell of a voice to do a Sam Kinison tribute bit. Also Sam's mic was calibrated for screaming into it. That is what they do all those hours of mic checks for. Open Mic night not so much. So when you yell into a mic that is set for people to just talk like normal humans, it peaks like crazy and makes whatever they're saying impossible to discern. I've seen a few sam kinison bits and they usually don't go great. -
Likeness rights can be confusing. Like if I made an anime that had a drawing of Hulk Hogan in it, called the character Hulk Hogan, and got a voice actor to sound like Hulk Hogan. Then I could get sued by Hulk Hogan's people. This is because they could argue that I had stolen his likeness and the only reason the series is being watched at all is due to Hulk Hogan being in it. The other issue is merchandising. If I want to have Hulk Hogan on a shirt or model kit, I'd have to pay him money for it. However if we give the character a different name it becomes more difficult to prove that the likeness is nothing more than a coincidence. It's just a bunch of dumb red tape that many studios don't want to bother with even when they can get away with it.

It was at the improv. Yeah when I was going you'd find the occasional psychopath that just wanders onto the stage and just talks about drugs or gives murder confessions out of the blue. Also accurate image of how my really dumb cousin feels about covid19 -

Did you catch the rona? I think my cousin has it, but he doesn't believe in it. Thinks is some Democrat media vodo or something. I'm like dude not much else is out that is giving people lung blood clots. With my lung issues I'm staying the hell away from him though lol. -

Most of it is learning comedic timing. So long as you aren't stumbling over trying to remember the joke and have a good pace you'll be fine. The people who bomb bad are usually either crack heads who just want to get up on stage to say things, or people who tell lots of inside jokes because they're the funny friend in their group and only know how to make their friends laugh. The crack head ones are just bad though. I remember one guy was up on stage it felt like forever. He was just screaming about how much he hates his dad and that he's going to kill someone. Then started crying into the mic over his girlfriends dead kid. I was like wtf, how does anyone follow that? They eased into it though and the next person up just told really mean feminist jokes, and would call guys in the audience misogynistic assholes. Nobody was even talking to her she just picked fights with guys in the audience, then started talking about how powerful her pussy is. Her four friends at least thought she was funny, but were hiding their faces when everyone started looking over at them for being loud. Really if you think you can do better than that, then you'll be fine. -

Unless you're all putting the mic in your mouth you should be fine. Hell people work at the grocery store every day and manage. Just come out on stage and put a condom over the mic. Be a prop comic, the highest form of stand up comedy... -
I did pet it for a while. Their fur isn't that pleasant to pet rather coarse. It hissed at me, but then was like oh dog food and got chill quick. I think it's just young and doesn't know better.

I had to look it up. Chuck E Cheese was Great Food, Drinks, Fun.
-
I did give it some dog food People were yelling at me for not keeping it because it was so smol. I'd rather have them just living in my yard eating ticks.
-
Isn't that the slogan for Chuck E Cheese? Are you getting married at a Chuck E Cheese?

For me its probably just not having the cops show up. It would probably be a first in family weddings. My friend though we have had a few different scenarios thought up both are going to involve wrestling. One is that I become registered to marry people. Then I do the ceremony while wearing a Garfield suit. Already both sides of the family will be alienated to a degree. I add in some Garfield lines about food etc. The bride and groom go to kiss. Then suddenly the face heel turn as the Groom does a stone cold stunner on the bride, then as she's down he gets on our fours and starts barking in her face. She's in on it so don't worry the wedding isn't "ruined". I then grab the mic and start telling the crowd "families that have no idea what just happened" that all this girl will remember from now on is how this was the worst day of her life, but for me it was just another Monday. Then suddenly over the speakers the theme starts playing Yes 66 yea old Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out 2x4 in hand Yelling Hooooo! As I have found out you can hire retired wrestlers rather cheap, so for a fee of $1.5k some blow and a case of beer you too can have former WWE legend Hacksaw Jim Duggan at your family gathering to fight for your amusement. He smashes me with the 2x4. I go down and crawl out of the room. My friend then starts to plead with Hacksaw. Telling him to check on the bride, Hacksaw is taken back and goes to help the bride up. My friend then goes for another stunner, but Hacksaw blocks it and grabs my friends leg. My friend starts shaking his head and yelling No, no! As Hacksaw yells Hoooooo! Then slams my friend to the ground. Suddenly the Groomsmen take off their tux revealing wrestling tights, and all gang up on Hacksaw. One hits him and he falls, as they all start putting the boots to him. My brother is doing color commentary "Oh my god this is disgusting, they're going to kill him. Somebody stop this". I run back in holding a steel chair. My brother "Oh no he has a chair, this can't be legal, this has just gone too far!". I look around, my friend is clapping as I stand over Hacksaw with the chair. Then suddenly I smash my friend with the chair, The groomsmen try and jump me but I beat them all down and they scatter back. I help up hacksaw. My friend runs over and close lines me to the ground, knocking off my Grafield mask. Suprise it was not me at all, it was 72 year old Rick Flair. Who because of financial issues and bad lifestyle choices is about as affordable as Hacksaw so it works out. I come running out in a ref outfit which I had on under the garfield costume, I'm yelling it's a trick! At this point the families have either caught onto the bit or are just horrified at what is happening. If anything cops are probably on their way. Hacksaw then helps Rick Flare up. Now some of you might be wondering why Rick would be helping as he's a Heel. Don't worry about that for now I'll get to it. The bride has finally gotten back up. Now The bride Hacksaw and Rick are standing over my friend. I'm being a ref and trying to defuse the situation. I get cast aside. My friend gets up. It's not looking good for him. Then suddenly the bride turns and my friend and her do a double stunner on flare and hacksaw, both kiss and they go for a double pin as I do the 3 count. ding ding you're now man and wife this match is over! Flare pissed grabs the bride and just throws her into the wedding cake. on the table. The match is over but he's still going. He starts to fight dirty and hits my friend in the head with something he has hidden in his hand. My friend does a cut job and is just bleeding everywhere now, as Flare and Hacksaw make their exit. THE OTHER IDEA Fake my friends death. Who is going to show up to your funeral? Usually the same people who will show up to your wedding. He's all laid out in a casket. I come running out dressed and acting like Paul Bearer holding an Urn. Oh Yess! I will bring him back, as I open the urn and light comes out. Take in the Soul OH YESSS! My friend then sits up shocking everyone because they all thought he was dead. Then we break into a casket match where people are just throwing each other in and out of the casket.
