Got a spot out back I want to put a food forest, but otherwise we were planning on getting a garden going closer to the house.

I'd like to be more self-sufficient when it comes to food (like I'm working on with booze), so I'm trying to think of some critters I could grow and eat. I got enough space for chickens I figure, but I can't eat eggs so they wouldn't do me much of any good except for just killing the chicken, and that seems like an awful lot of work to put into something you only get to eat once. Same problem with rabbits. Probably just shoot squirrels and get the same return on investment. There's crickets, which pound for pound would yield about the most protein, especially when you factor in the ease of care... I could just do that in my basement though, and I've got a chunk of outside space I was figuring on using. Any suggestions?

Loose-leaf pipe tobacco smells pretty good, and on a whim I decided to look up making mead using it as an ingredient. Yeah don't do that, nicotine will kill you dead. I heard from somebody, don't even remember who are how long ago, but they started using nicotine patches and gum without ever smoking and were now pretty much addicted to them.

Overheard one of the other managers (the one that doesn't wear a mask) complaining to my boss the other day about how i'm the only one doing it and its just making people mad, and my boss is like "but he's doing what he's supposed to be doing." Eragon. Yeah, its a lot like star wars with dragons, but there's nothing super wrong with that and there's plenty in them books to make a good movie. The movie they made was absolute garbage, but i swear if they did it right it could be as good as... Well some movie that was decent and enjoyable but nothing incredibly special or award worthy or anything like that... Detective Pikachu. No, that has a name brand behind it so its not very comparable... quality wise though... Itd be better than the new Mulan thats for goddamn sure. It could be as good as... Onward for sure. Onward was decent.

Wow... Only got down to 1.044. 4%. Well, the good news is it's still bubbling fairly actively, but still... After a month, that's sorta concerning.+ I don't think it's stalled, just really slow... I mean the taste is for sure there... Wondering if the preservatives in the cranberry juice fucked me over. Think what I'll do is try pitching more yeast. Hmmmm.....
