still nothing...I'm convinced we're getting another marathon on 1/8

unfortunately it's christmas and still no word on the upcoming new premiere shows....

still waiting to see what the schedule for 1/8/22 will be...

if he didn't say anything at all then the reactions would be worse....with all the doubling up and random schedule changes we had the late half of this year there would be a lot of confusion and fan theories running around....family guy's departure was too soon for it to put a stop to any new shows coming in for the rest of the year however now that we do know that they don't really spend much on acquired content(like DBS)there's just more confusion now as the only two explanations are either every single show they wanted got an unexpected price hike or it was all funimation content and sony said "No"

demarco also confirmed that the money spent on The Original Shows are separate from the budget they have to spend on acquired shows for toonami which is big news for a lot of fans as the assumption was that they came from the same pot but now that fan theory can labeled as debunked

why would he mention it if it was something that happened back in 2019 and phrase it like it's happening now?

I'd just like something positive to come out of demarco's twitter account lately regarding toonami...that's all instead with this news I'm just hoping sony doesn't block toonami from more than just demon slayer

still seems weird that demarco would comment about sony blocking them from getting demon slayer on twitter...wouldn't you say so?

either way.....should toonami try to find a replacement or just settle for airing the cheapest of the cheap animes to avoid running into issues like this?

this raises a question "How Much does toonami need shows like demon slayer And MHA how much do they need the mainstream super duper popular anime?" because people have noted there's many cheap series toonami could pick up that would work perfectly on the block but is that how they should operate...picking up cheaper lesser known shows? if that's the case then do they lose anything if they are unable to air the super popular stuff anymore

i think we will otherwise it would be weird to air new blade runner black lotus on another block of reruns or a movie....if they are taking off christmas weekend then why aren't they doing the same for new year's weekend?

at the same time though new years day is also a holiday and black lotus airs a new episode then

i guess even originals can't be aired on 12/25 since we now know black lotus takes that night off in favor of a full marathon we do not know about yet
