One Piece Episodes 585-586 Discussion
CountFrylock replied to CorbeauKarasu's topic in Episode Discussion Archive
every time i see one piece coming up on toonami...I'm annoyed by two things the fact that every little thing is stretched out to last longer than it should so each episode feels like an endurance test one piece will outlast the block itself and that's something I'm still struggling to comprehend -
turned 33 today....didn't really do all that much but hey i got splatoon 3 earlier this month and so far Been enjoying it

recently subbed to the SJ Service and gotta say for $1.99 per month it's great

also here's some more toonami related answers from His Q&A - He's confident Sony/Funiroll won't partner with another cable network to compete with Toonami (and well, what network is willing to air anime anyway?) - He blames One Piece's cartoony artstyle for why it didn't catch on in the US the way Naruto (and to a lesser extent, Bleach) did - He hopes for more DC stuff on Toonami soon, but it's out of his hands. - DC Fandome night was supposed to be Batman Day in 2020 the first time. I guess it shifted because of FanDome and now thanks to it being gone Batman Day is a thing? - Housing Complex C will only be one season - All of Toonami's originals for 2023 are announced. '24 and '25, not yet - Scavengers was meant to be a full Toonami original series, but a US-based show is in development - Even if Sony can't license them anything, he still has a good non-work relationship with the people there - They still aren't being paid to work on Toonami. Those Shark Week and Craig of the Creek bits reflect their honest opinion.

Tuca&Bertie Season 3 Discussion
CountFrylock replied to CountFrylock's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
anyone here still watching this? -
that's the thing...toonami can't maintain an audience if it doesn't have a good budget to acquire content said audience wants to see WBD Big wigs have got to understand that....the current lineup isn't the success story they want but that's not toonami's fault Lupin Yashahime and double one piece just aren't enough to get people excited about the block weekly they can only acquire what they can afford and with Sony playing hard-ball that further limited the options available to them if WBD Won't give them more money then they shouldn't be surprised to see no major improvements

someone told me most people aren't gonna care about what discovery does to hbomax all things concsidered because "People really dont care about quality when over 50% of the workforce is : clock in 9-5, get home at 6, drink a beer and do normal stuff. they just want something to watch" and that statement scares me because that means you can put paint drying on and most people would watch it...because it's something and they don't care what it is they just need something to fall asleep to it could be a shot of somebody pooping on the toilet and it wouldn't phase them if all they require is something on tv...anything
