  1. Hang in there. My Grandmother did not like my Mom and Grandma and her Sisters would slip into Ukrainian when my Mom would enter the room. Pissed my Dad off, to the point of him not speaking to his side of the family for years. I was 13 before I found out that she was still alive, when my Dad decided to patch things up with his side of the family. Eventually, my Grandmother came around. She never thought my folks would last, but before she died she told me it was her wish that I'd find someone as good as my Mom to marry.
  2. Un-Freakin' believable night at the UC. Seabrook's 1000th game, rookie Dylan Sikura's first game both get overshadowed by the happenings in the Hawks net. First the starting goalie gets injured in warmups, so the backup - another rookie Collin Delia has to start. Meanwhile, an unknown club league goalie named Scott Foster has to suit up and act as backup, signing a 1 day contract. 3rd period rolls around an Delia goes down and can't get up (looks like he got dehydrated). Foster comes in and stones the Jets for the final 14+ min, stopping 7 shots including one from Byfuglien. https://www.secondcityhockey.com/2018/3/29/17178850/chicago-blackhawks-emergency-backup-goaltender-scott-foster-collin-delia-winnipeg-jets
  3. Precious & her brother Shogun - 4/10. Uprooted from their home in FL, brought to IL and set up in a house with two other cats. Nicodemus - 5/10. Grew up in a cage, never got to play with other cats, so he thinks fighting/attacking = play. Acts somewhat feral at times. Obsessed with food. Daphne - 7/10 (down from 9/10). Doesn't like other cats much, doesn't like to be picked up or held, but absolutely loves being brushed. Recently found food she can tolerate without ripping her belly hair out. Working on the rest.
  4. "Pothole - The Movie"
  5. 49% Eastern European, 21% Great Britain (not Ireland/Scotland), 16% Western Europe, 5% Scandinavian (that was a surprise). Ukraininan, Polish, German I knew about. Also a surprise was 1% Irish/Scot (under "Low Confidence Regions"), when I'm directly decended from someone from Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland. So my Mom is taking the test, since it's her Great Grandfather. Her father's Mother is where a lot of questions lie. Were they Irish, as I was initially told. Or were they Brits, or French or from the Isle of Man, as some other family researchers claim? The French story is interesting, as it leads to Versailles where the Palace is - but I think it was someone's wishful thinking. It's kinda fun to try to figure out, but it can get very frustrating when you hit walls on every branch of your tree.
  6. Maybe you need to "Put" it to work instead of "Get" it to work. FTP humor, a (rightfully) lost art.
  7. Man vs canvas and happy trees. Traditional handicap match.
  8. Basic narrative stuff. Man against Man, Man against Nature, Man against Himself, Man against Society. Without conflict, there's no story. In other words, "Once upon a time...and they lived happily ever after" would be it..
  9. I completely understand. There are songs that make me want to cry because I can't stop them either.
  10. Pearle Vision has Ray Ban sunglass frames, try them.
  11. If you can't keep the cat, look up "no-kill" shelters in your area. You can explain to them the situation.
  12. Do it right or DDP comes by & hits you with "The Diamond Cutter".
  13. You have my empathy.
  14. Chipotle Burrito (brown/black/chicken/red/cheese/guac/lettuce) or an italian beef (wet) with mozzarella.
  15. Nope - it's local shorthand for a town in Illinois.
  16. Wait a tick...Real Estate? mckrackin? Does K3 mean anything to you?
  17. (Jennifer Grey, Marcus Allen, Sandra Day O'Connor)
  18. Or was it GreyAllenO'Connor Day? Aw, heck - let's just call it Tsar4Day!
  19. Technically, the coding is just part of the processes I create.
  20. Not me. I use sarcasm.
  21. I think this guy would disagree -
