Dumped Linkedin about a year after I joined, kept getting spam at work from companies trying to hawk their product. They completely misunderstood my job title. Now it's changed and I'm still getting spammed by the same companies.

No, Old Testement says not to work on the Sabbath, not Sundays. Jesus followed the tenets of the Jewish Religion and their Sabbath is Saturday, the seventh day of the week.

Not so sure about the not being able to sense disasters. We have more distractions, perhaps. A cacophony of sensorial data for our minds to sift through. I think that our ability to sense things just gets drown out. Some of it is still there, ever feel like you're being watched or that something just isn't right? A "gut feeling" about something that all other senses seem to indicate are fine? That, I think, is the sense you're referring to, just muted.

Cooked a frozen one. It's the second time I've felt nauseous after eating this brand...not good.

My guess is that they either painted or put something on the Os to change them to an "e". Hopefully whoever did it didn't damage the structure for it.

Probably doesn't need repair. It was falling apart when they fixed it the last time. The original was only an advertisment for a subdivision, the celebs & others contributed for a more permanent structure.

Turns out "Hollyweed" did happen in 1976, but the sign has been altered a number of times beside that. Pretty cool, I had forgotten about who donated to fix the sign when it was deteriorated. Alice Cooper donated the cash for one of the O's - in honor of his good friend Groucho Marx. And of course, Hugh Hefner donated the money for the "Y".

I think someone did change the sign (beside the original "Hollywoodland") for some other purpose beside this one. My memory is that it was some sort of protest, but I'll have to check.

Bears losing as usual, but just pulled a sweet decepetion play for a TD. RB Langford goes out to the right as a WR. QB Barkley in the backfield motions him back behind him like he misunderstood the call in the huddle. Barkley then moves up to the line and moves to the right behind the line, gesturing like he's changing the play. As he does that, the direct snap goes to Langford. WR Meredith swings from the left to behind Langford as if it's a WR end around. Meanwhile, Barkley has gotten behind the defense in the endzone to the right. Meredith (a former ISU QB) throws to Barkley for a TD.

Knowing corpthink as I do, I would guess one of the questions asked was, "How much revenue are we generating off the boards?" and when the reply was given, either the follow up was, "How much could we make?" and/or "Why do we even have it then? Kill it".
