  1. there's no content limitations at even 5:45 am (Metalocalypse for one if we're talking starting at 5:45. Plenty other examples of TV-MA content in the 5 hour and specifically at 5:30.) but since TV-MA Rick and Morty has aired at 9 pm and the previous content limitation never had anything to do with being the first show that night (see The Boondocks) they should be able to air anything at 9 pm now. 8 pm is still affected though because Rabbot didn't air at 8 last month. as for toonami being repeated, unless they're gonna air the reruns on friday nights they shouldn't do that.
  2. i've learned my lesson not to trust what they say
  3. they said megalobox was their newest show. the scavengers reign pilot shouldn't count, but that kind of language says they don't have any other new shows before megalobox. flcl alternative holds the slot perfectly.
  4. assuming it is, to hold the slot for megalobox which won't be ready before december 8th.
  5. megalobox is their "newest show" so we're looking at a 1:30 am rerun, likely flcl, starting 12/1 to buy the right amount of time for attack on titan
  6. without knowing what the fuck the schedule is for this week i'm gonna say it has nothing to do with it being split cour as they should have already been aware of this and planned around it. Megalobox is their "newest show" which could very well mean 12/1 all 3 FLCL series rerun at 1:30. and if Scavengers Reign airs 11/17 they could just air that again after the FLCL run, which should line up perfectly with them getting the dub for Titan cour 2 and they can move JoJo-HxH back to their current time slots and put Titan back at midnight.
  7. Teen Titans Go! was the direct lead in on saturday
  8. viz has it as one https://www.viz.com/megalobox so toonami shouldn't have separated it but yeah, the japanese transcription is two words
  9. shouldn't it be Megalobox?
  10. adult swim was already airing super at 8, it makes no sense for cartoon network to take 8 pm just to do that. also, there's no reason to put stock in any "rumors" when, if the schedule shows something, it's not a rumor, and if it doesn't, it's just someone pulling something out of their ass. however, cartoon network wouldn't necessarily have to edit anything from super. they're no stranger to airing TV-14 stuff, and language isn't an issue in general. maybe they'd be competent and rate it down anyway since adult swim's s&p slap a TV-14-L on a lot of anime for TV-PG level language (while not always giving TV-PG episodes an L for the same words), constantly, for years. it's never made any sense. but cartoon network aren't going to air it anyway so whatever.
  11. Pete Smith Day again
  12. this page never stopped getting the info https://adultswim.sercomkc.org/
  13. the error is from cable guides
  14. they're starting from episode 1
  15. Dragon Ball Super is the highest rated show on Toonami. Dragon Ball Z Kai is not a bad lead in for the shows that air before it. it shouldn't do worse than Rick and Morty or The Cleveland Show did on saturdays. it replaces those shows. consider Toonami to have two of its own lead ins. it's quite a logical show order. the comedy lead in to Toonami is gonna be Home Movies and Family Guy. one Family Guy. that tells me at least 8:30 pm is in the cards, with quite possibly all of saturday being the goal. at any rate, they're playing the long game with Kai, showing an intention to keep Toonami this long and early. My Hero Academia's performance at 10 was likely never a factor. and Samurai Jack seasons 1-4 are on Blu-ray. they're airing the remastered tapes.
  16. are we getting 8:30 on October 20th? 8 is Home Movies and 8:30 is Family Guy (i'm assuming they're gonna be airing 3 Family Guys on fridays now) 5 is Venture Bros. 710 airs 10/13, the same week FLCL Alternative and Bebop end. i figure the 8 pm Home Movies will end up being paired with the 5:30 am one
  17. can't wait to see what 8 pm weeknights looks like next month. bringing kai back to toonami makes me think they won't also air it on weeknights. the only real spot for a TV-MA anime on weeknights is fridays at 9, which can't be filled with a fox show.
  18. the vindicators ep of rick and morty is TV-MA-LV and that's aired at 9 pm multiple times. anything goes once it's 9. speaking of 9, things have gotten interesting in terms of what the next few marathons will be. oh and titan gets its first TV-MA episode this weekend. so there goes a potential 8:30 weeknight run.
