under-discussed race from yesterday's primaries: The incumbent flipped this conservative seat in 2022 through a combination of a moderate campaign, an arch-conservative opponent (who took the incumbent R's slot in the open-party primary), and 2022 being a Dem-leaning election cycle. And Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is going to face that same arch-conservative again. Assuming these numbers hold, she'll have won the open primary with just under half the votes which puts her in a great spot to hold the seat in November.

I'm not actually sure why, tbh. I don't think he didn't express interest, he was one of the three finalists who did an in-person interview. If he wasn't interested he'd have pulled a Cooper and dropped out of the running early.

From everything I read, the real choice was between Shapiro and Walz, and Kelly was a distant third but ahead of all the other contenders.
