Hey, while we're on the topic of arguing over whether something's a parody or not, I'd like a little assessment of something I did regarding that argument. Spoilered for potentially unintentional self-promotion. Now, for those of you who read the entirety of my spiel in the tab above, tell me: is this a parody or a deconstruction? Is it both? Or is it neither, and just me doing something different with the whole deal that could be mistaken for parody or deconstruction, like what Ben thinks Tabata and Pierrot are doing with Black Clover when it's really just "the ultimate generic shonen battle manga"?

Shame. I have three shows I'm interested in, one of which I'm so psyched for I started following the anime's Twitter account. [ikebukuro is the greatest]

Just wrapped the first chapter of Yakuza 0 this morning. Great game so far, though the cutscenes could be a little shorter.

Considering I always record the block each week instead of watching live, I've always planned on voting in this election, and I'm more a fan of EL-P's solo work than his collabs (and even then, it's only a few songs), I'm more likely than not gonna sit this one out.

I bought Yakuza 0 last week and started playing it on Saturday. A little disappointed that it's in story mode all the time (and in disbelief that I sucked at the karaoke game), but what I've played so far is some good shit.

I remember Shaman King on 4KidsTV, but because I was more interested in their magical girl shows, I never bothered watching it. I did think it was cool when, in the first issue of Shounen Jump I ever had, Manta/Morty said "dammit".

I never really thought of The Union as aliens, but some dangerous nanotech-possessing group of always-uniformed humans who the show refused to tell us anything about outside of how dangerous they were.

I'm still occasionally playing Forza Horizon 4, but I recently bought Yakuza 0 with a $20 XBox gift card that was collecting dust, so I'll probably start that one soon too.
