Besides, those dub lines the weebs are claiming are "proof" that FUNimation is a horrible localizer are just one- or two-time instances in series that altogether make up less than 1% of their total catalog, and on top of that aren't popular enough to actually make a convincing argument in their favor.

I may say this as one of the few people who actually liked Dimension W, but I believe the main reason Toonami got it was not because Demarco liked it too, but because FUNimation wanted to make back as much money on it as they could, being a key player on the production committee and everything. Ditto for Fire Force.

It pays to listen to both stances on a certain subject in order to develop an informed opinion, even if one or both of those sides sound way too propaganda-ey to be taken seriously. Speaking of the certain subject in question, here's a video that acknowledges, explains, but doesn't excuse some of FUNimation's "politically charged rewrites".

Not to mention Netflix, who's crediting straight-up Western animation as anime.

And despite everything everyone says about it, I don't give a shit either way, because at the end of the day, it's just anime.

As if Netflix hogging Stone Ocean to themselves wasn't bad enough, now the effort I took to record all thirteen episodes of this one-time showing is 7.7% pointless.

I only saw the first two so far (will probably wait until it gets another special broadcast to handle the finale they stupidly skipped), and hearing them miss the first "fuck" was exciting, no matter how much I might have seen it coming.

Part of me feels absolute despair at this, but the other's trying to tell me there's no shame at going the non-Toonami route. I've done it before with shows I expected would make it on Toonami but didn't (before they did), and I can do it again.

Whether it's Netflix original or not, I don't mind finishing the main stretch of JoJo the same way I started it: outside of Toonami with the assumption it would never get on.

I'm recording it and watching it spread out over several weeks. Compared to the regular anime, this isn't as high a priority.

Bandai Visual didn't think a dub was worth it, I guess.
