  1. Unfortunate and legally suspect, yeah, but as far as I'm concerned, that just means the news is getting here faster.
  2. As nice as one would've been, I don't think a double-up finale promo is an absolute necessity. The only series I can recall that got a promo when the last two episodes aired the same day was IGPX, and even then that was sort of important because the finale never aired on Toonami proper until the 2013 rebroadcast.
  3. And Yet the Town Moves 4
  4. Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut 1 Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan 5 (dubbed)
  5. Eh, needs more squares. Upon actually watching the episode, while I found the ANN guy's complaints about Towa unfairly comparing being yandere about a girl you kidnapped to be your bride to smartphone addiction somewhat sensible, ignoring the important plot revelations in favor of continuing to screech about the damn smartphone was clearly him trying to fill some sort of quota.
  6. You should, seasonal anime content rating look-sees are fun stuff. Though you might want to avoid the two series I'll announce at the end after this quick update I'm doing primarily to justify it. Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan #13: Together with Maman Forever (TV-14D) Kanon 2006 #14: A Cracked Concerto (TV-PGLV) Magic Knight Rayearth #9: The Magic Knights' Greatest Crisis (TV-PG) And now for some various announcements, a.k.a. the reason I'm posting this so early and so short. First off, regarding seasonal selections, I plan on watching two anime this season on my own time. Of those two, the important one is the show replacing Uramichi as the fifth subject of the Content Rating Clips, Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut. (I am so glad FUNimation chose that title, now I can refer to it as the "vampire cosmonaut" anime without fearing others might think I don't know the title of the show!) It was between that and the other pick, Platinum End, for the one-year anniversary pick, but for as much as I'd have liked to celebrate with a two-cour series (a first Kanon already had locked down), the slim chance of this actually getting broadcasted on Toonami by benefit of being from the Death Note creators convinced me that going for the LN adaptation less likely to get on Demarco's radar was the preferable option. Expect clips from the first episode of Vampire Cosmonaut soon on my Twitter! Second/lastly, and this was likely obvious considering I hadn't watched an episode in months, but I'm dropping Basquash! for the time being. Guess I just lost interest in pursuing it, I guess. I'll get back on that wagon eventually, but until then, I'll watch something else. What, you might ask? Considering it's a non-seasonal, I'm going to keep that one a surprise.
  7. Welp, /co/'s claiming that Toonami is going to die again now that its ratings reached their absolute low. These idiots have had nine years to understand that overall viewership isn't the only metric that matters and they still refuse to get it.
  8. Assuming I have the cable connection in my new apartment set up on move-in day, chances are I'll be able to watch it live too.d
  9. In which an out-of-place piece of technology makes a wannabe big-time anime reviewer lose his marbles in an obviously manufactured bout of rage.
  10. Am I the only one who feels Toga's "I was always a creepy little troll even as a little kid" backstory was more than a little lazy on Horikoshi's part? Never mind that, Twice time now. 12:00 - Fena: Pirate Princess #9 - Vice Versa - TV-14DV 12:30 - My Hero Academia #110 - Sad Man's Parade - TV-14V 1:00 - Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon #14 - The One Behind the Forest Fire - TV-14V 1:30 - Food Wars! 11. Bad news: no Nagoya File this fall. Good news: another Kunoichi-centric side story! [merry kinktober]
  12. Magic Knight Rayearth 9
  13. I still think the precautionary move of seeing it while Mugen Train on Toonami was an unknown leaning heavily towards impossibility was worth it.
  14. By saying shit like this and not expecting us to give you the upside-down heart reaction, that's how!
  15. Ass Class 2, Mob 2, Megalobox 2, the list goes on! [okay maybe not for that long]
  16. At this point, I'm more flattered than offended that I'm getting a Black Clover double-up for my birthday. But more importantly, this little TV spot is now 100% Toonami-relevant.
  17. Semi-regular reminder that while I thought the Dandy musical episode was pretty good overall, the High School Caste System song was inconsistent at best and maximum cringe at worst.
  18. Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan 13
  19. RANDOM THOUGHTS BY POKE: I remember seeing an episode of one of those multi-camera sitcoms with the laugh tracks where one of the supporting male characters flirted with and picked up a chick at a sci-fi convention while the both of them were dressed in Babylon 5 cosplay. Can't recall what show it was for the life of me, but it was certainly a strange episode plot for a show of its vein.
  20. Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan #11: Fateful Encounter (TV-PGL) Life Lessons with Uramichi-Oniisan #12: Awkward Smile (TV-PG) Magic Knight Rayearth #8: The Horrible Trap of Summoner Ascot (TV-PG) Full Dive #1: VR x Reality (TV-MAL) Full Dive #2: Living in a Dead Game (TV-MAL) Godzilla: Singular Point #2: Gamesome (TV-PG) Godzilla: Singular Point #3: Tigerish (TV-PG) My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! #24: My Graduation Ceremony Happened... (TV-PGD)
  21. I have multiple volumes of Naruto and Bleach, plus the two of the FLCL manga, but besides those I'm not really a manga person.
