Ehh, that theory seems kinda silly. When there were talks of rebooting Jonny Quest in '08, they didn't cancel VB then, they just changed all the names of the JQ characters they had active in the show. I'm sticking with the theory they canned it to save money, and plan on bringing it back - if only for a single finale special - via HBO Max once it's financially feasible for them.
