  1. Megaton Musashi W: Wired. This game has taken about 10 mecha anime and crammed them into a blender, then hit liquify. But it has more of Daimos and Megazone 23 than the others.
  2. I can’t hate American comics all these years later. Any medium that makes a story where The Great Gatsby fights Godzilla is worth preserving.
  3. DanDaDan 4. Yeah, this is the best show of the season.
  4. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/oregon-trail-movie-apple-1236045454/ Well, Apple TV made a good Tetris movie (by making it about the game escaping the USSR).
  5. Now I Live In the Damn Dump! My Life In Animation - By Andy Merrill.
  6. Games and game players collectively have lost something ever since physical copies of games stopped coming with instruction manuals.
  7. One final bit of dirt on Uzumaki's grave, IGN gave it a 3/10. https://www.ign.com/articles/uzumaki-full-series-review-adult-swim
  8. Those of you enjoying Checkered Past with Brak might want to brace yourselves.
  9. I admit to having a bias, and the first step to dealing with a problem is admitting you have one. Wrestling is a weird sell in this country since it has a very dedicated audience with a lot of crossover with animation fans, as well as an equally large contingent of viewers who dismiss it as fake bullshit. It's why wrestling anime tends to be more serious-minded, they treat it more seriously there. Everything about this screams "Current Year Slop" in the worst way. MAWS filled a hole for people who wanted a nicer Superman after years of Snyder's tortured ubermensch and a legion of Homelander clones. This doesn't fill any gap like that.
  10. IFG could go either way. It could be a surprise hit like Superman was, or it could flop hard like Unicorn. I fully admit to my bias, but I also don’t expect the rest of the audience to make Kinnikuman comparisons. I just know someone in that show will try a Kinniku Buster.
  11. They’ll never stop us Morty! Have no fears, we’ve got stories for years! Like, Summer becomes a robot, maybe Jerry gets a new job has Morty ever owned a bear? How about a crazy wedding? Where something happens and do do do do do. Sorry about the anime. Have no fears, we’ve got stories for years!
  12. The previous DC Universe apparently had some things happen in broad strokes. Like there was a Suicide Squad in this universe, but Will Smith didn’t say his cringe-tastic line, and the program was eventually shut down. But most of it, namely all the Superman and Justice League stuff, was erased.
  13. In-universe it’s the replacement program for the Suicide Squad after Congress declared the program inhumane and demanded it be shut down. It’s also the first piece of media to take place in the rebooted DC Universe. (Peacemaker and Blue Beetle apparently did occur in the broad strokes sense).
  14. My guess is because it makes the finale more event programming. Not to mention when they run it back as part of those theatrical previews, you don’t feel jipped watching. Not sure how next season will handle the finale though given that the Infinity Castle arc will be a movie trilogy.
  15. It's a French studio apparently. Speaking of, during yesterday's panel, James Gunn confirmed the series would have a sex scene, which may make things awkward if DeMarco asks for it.
  16. Blade Runner, like Shenmue, got screwed by rights issues, namely Amazon making a direct sequel to Blade Runner 2049.
  17. DanDaDan 3. Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. Dragon Ball Daima 1.
  18. This block needs less kids shows, our intentions are good. Oh Lord, please don’t let me be misunderstood.
  19. Watanabe and DeMarco are two peas in a pod. Two guys chasing their glory days while steadfast in avoiding wanting to play the greatest hits.
  20. Mashle’s good stuff from what I’ve seen. Equal parts comedy and action.
  21. This is why I'm seriously questioning how well this is going to do opposite an AEW whose champion is Jon Moxley, a stereotypical hardcore wrestler whose ideas tend to be focused on blood and guts. The CEO of Moxley Plumbing isn't exactly someone I think would introduce people to a kids show. At least in Kinnikuman, people get busted open, blood escapes from the mouth, and all that stuff.
  22. You could honestly argue that in saying that, this glorified fanfic becomes the antithesis of Roiland's nihilism and the whole "Nothing matters, no one belongs anywhere, let's just watch TV" philosophy. So not only have you alienated the audience because the characters don't act like the Smith's everyone loves (and there was a lot of love in that room yesterday, make no mistake), you've contradicted the main philosophical tenant of the show and the source of a lot of the gags since it informs how everyone acts. This is probably why no one bought this up at the Rick and Morty panel yesterday. It's also why this is probably not getting a sequel.
  23. They’re only on Season 8. Renewing through S12 when Seasons 9 and 10 aren’t ready shows tremendous confidence in the Pickus Rickus.
