Now that Toonami and Crunchyroll are under the same corporate parent there’s really no point.
-
Seriously, they won’t stop until every old incomplete or unadapted manga is given a Netflix exclusive. Except Cannon God Exaxxion. http://www.otakuusamagazine.com/spriggan-manga-gets-new-anime-series-netflix/

DeMarco hates streaming services, and he’s gone off on them at length.
-
Let’s not start THAT again.

The Toonami and Adult Swim crew have always had a distaste for boobs, which is why it’s extra hilarious when a boobie show slips through, it gets monster ratings without fail. I am seriously wondering if given the corporate merger, DeMarco is declared redundant, Crunchyroll takes over, and goes “Here’s Shield Hero!”
-
No one’s saying air harem shit, at least I’m not, but the ratings are clearly pointing in a different direction. Then again Black Clover has more than 0 viewers, so who really knows how the average viewer thinks?
-
Have fun competing with streaming services, including one under the same umbrella with THAT mindset. With the corporate overhaul, someone might get the bright idea to let Crunchyroll run Toonami and cut out DeMarco.

Well they got a pretty good writer, the dude who made Y: The Last Man, Runaways, and Saga. https://deadline.com/2019/03/brian-k-vaughan-gundam-live-action-movie-legendary-1202569112/

It makes sense, but it also shows why DeMarco is getting his ass kicked in the ratings, because while Parasyte floundered like a fish, “Anime: The Anime” got ALL THE RATINGS.

Netflix continues to green light everything with the adaptation of the well received Ultraman manga from Production IG.

This is the second most disgusting thing I’ve seen this week, but first was Leaving Neverland. It’s evil.

https://variety.com/2019/biz/news/warnermedia-shakeup-bob-greenblatt-hbo-turner-cnn-1203154109/ Basicslly as part of the AT&T merger with Warner, their linear networks are all undergoing restructuring and management changes to promote efficiency. What this means for our pals Jason DeMarco and Mike Lazzo is anyone’s guess.

My Hero Acadamia CD Drama causes rape/homophobia controversy
Jman replied to mochi's topic in Toonami & [adult swim]
One line that was a meme. He wasn’t actually racist. I mean the game is shit, but Deku isn’t portrayed as racist. -

ComicBook.com also thought the racist Deku meme was serious. Fuck em. -
That’s a good idea in general.

I’m still annoyed I was busy and they only had a Tuesday showing. Please don’t let this take a year to release like Mazinger Z Infinity.

Funny enough, I heard we should be getting more information on it next month. I know Crunchyroll has stepped up its original productions (say it with me everyone, adapt Cannon God Exaxxion). Whether this was a pilot they pulled in response to a hurricane of bad publicity or it's just their way to go "Look how progressive we are!" while airing Shield Hero and its ilk is unknown to me.
-
The fact that they pivoted so hard into Shield Hero is kind of hilarious. I haven’t seen the show, but I cannot help but have a sadistic admiration for that level of shamelessness.

Capitalism my friend. It’s no different from Fox bringing back Last Man Standing. Honestly, the whole thing feels like Crunchyroll trying to tell people they won’t be stereotypically “woke” after the complete disaster that was the unveiling of High Guardian Spice.
