these animals i have been seeing might be cougars. there are tons of sports teams with cougar related names.

or really abnormally big cats. i guess im not exactly sure what i saw, mountain lion, huge smooth coat cat, or bobcat... im not trying to get you to go look... i should look it up to see how right i am, but i do believe they were huge cats, one was actually road kill so the only image is the one i have in my memory. but i was 90% sure it was a bobcat when i was staring at it. the other just sort of took three to five big leaps across a highway near a river and i just happened to be there when he decided to cross people probably hunt and trap them. i really have to go look that up. i dont hunt and trap at all. i would hunt but not the sport
