  1. There really isn't any. It's just that a lot of people have the irrational mindset of liking stuff that triggers a political group they loathe. I don't support this at all, but the people are free to watch what and how they want.
  2. NT is a theatrical film. As for Thunderbolt... well, you're the only person I've ever seen want it to be on Toonami, so I don't think it's going to happen.
  3. Since ratings talk hasn't been banned yet, I tried to post the chart directly to this thread, but I can't for the life of me get it to look good. What kind of black magic fuckery does Al have to use to make it show that way? Well, here's the link. My Hero Academia had a good rebound for its second week. I hope it's actually starting to grow an audience now that we've reached what's considered to be the great part.
  4. I would argue that GamerGate is still very much alive. It's just twisted and transmogrified into different forms over the years, but the overall goal remains the same. Some of the people I've seen trash this new Crunchyroll show are at least GG-adjacent.
  5. PUCHiM@S S1E1 and S1E2 Planet With #1 [psychedeliiiiiiiics]
  6. Before you go out and start giving the anti-SJWs a platform, you should consider that many other right-wing ideas might soon spew out of their mouths. Who knows if that's a good thing or not.
  7. Thanks to Sketch for keeping this thread alive. I completely ignored it after just one weekend because I didn't think my thoughts would be complete without the Lupin rerun. I'm now eight episodes behind on that show, so I have no hope of doing this competently at any point soon. Now, just as a scratch... My Hero Academia (Like I said... spider eagles.) Attack on Titan (That great animation was the only thing enabling my enjoyment of this one. When it ended, I lost all focus.) Attack on Titan rerun (And this one had none of it, so it's even further down.)
  8. Because of that, I think the rationale is that they want people who like the show already to tune into the rerun... except they probably already have alternate ways to watch, so this might as well be (and have been) pointless.
  9. It feels dishonest of them to put scenes from the second season in when they're only playing all of S1. I mean, why not play those first three episodes and extend the marathon all the way to 6:00A? As well, while this promo is okay to mention that Deku used to not have a quirk, they should probably stop whoring that out after this. It's become largely irrelevant to the story after around the fourth episode. For that matter, the official promos should stop saying it as well. Just tell us the plot of whatever's happening now, damnit.
  10. How kinky. Wow, they renged on the Venture Bros. encore really fast. Now I'm wondering why they even scheduled it to begin with, as these attempts never seem to work.
  11. Well then... okay. As far as the four temperaments are concerned, I am easily melancholic.
  12. I've used Crunchy's Wii U app for years, and I haven't had a lot of problems with it. On the other hand, there was an issue with my streams being dropped, so I would often have to restart the console... but that turned out to be a problem with the wireless internet in my house. It went away after we switched providers.
  13. Why in the fuck would you not watch a series because you already know how it sounds? I mean, if you think that the dub isn't very good and you'll hold out for the sub instead, that's reasonable... but not bothering with it at all defeats the entire purpose of watching things to begin with.
  14. My biggest issue is why they're premiering this on Crunchyroll and not VRV, as that service has been adding a lot of classic western cartoons lately and also already has several originals. Also, how come Jman's post isn't that the next thing they should do is make a Cannon God Exaxxion anime?
  15. Yeah... I'm convinced Children Who Chase Lost Voices was a fluke, while Mind Game was an intentional exception for April Fools'. Toonami ain't ever doing movies again. On the other hand, early 2020 for them premiering a new Dragon Ball show does sound realistic. And isn't Dragon Ball Heroes a short series? That's probably never going to air on our block.
  16. I halfway think it was actually me who coined the term. "Unholy megabomb" does feel like something four years ago's Blatch would come up with, and one that I would constantly cringe at. When did they do the FLCL Alternative premiere? It couldn't have been after the SDCC panel, because I remember the stream showing the final episode of Progressive (for the stream only) instead.
  17. Who coined that term, exactly? Was it yourself? I think it's a microcosm of Toonami's ratings weirdness when a show as hype as AoT has its new season premiere this low. Maybe they should've pushed for a world premiere... except I can't even assume that would do better, as way more people seem to be watching the sub. But don't worry, because I'm sure the ratings will go up when FLCL Alternative premieres... and then they permanently go down by 100K again.

  19. Yeah... I really need to get back to posting here. I'm going to do two episodes of Log Horizon next; the post is largely done. I just need to make the images and it'll be ready to go. I'll start doing posts more often after that, too.
  20. IMO, that AC-bu can't do the main segment of every episode is one of PPTP's biggest weaknesses. It would be much better than the lame parodies of various genres of TV shows and movies we get hogging up each episode. [that's an unironic complaint of mine]
  21. So I guess this is the only show where we actually want Kenny to die? I mean, I really detest... Uh, nevermind. No politics in the anime threads, of course.
  22. This is assuming Cowboy Bebop leaves, right? I have a feeling they'll actually do a third run of that in a row, and maybe even keep rerunning it indefinitely until they lose the rights. If there's one show that'll always be an [as] evergreen, it's that one. If anything, an 8:30 weekday rerun of PPTP is just as likely, if not more.
  23. NHK is where the new Cardcaptor Sakura anime aired, as well as Log Horizon. They've occasionally dabbled in it, but not with a show this popular.
  24. I really need to watch AoT again... from the beginning, that is. In the early Toonami days, I had someone who didn't like the show take up space on my Twitter feed; they ended up warping my opinion of the show, and I parroted some of their opinions without critically examining them. But then I watched Season 2 (after unfollowing them), and I liked it a lot more. The last half in particular was really intense, and Bryce Papenbrook's voice acting as Eren was so angry and good that I feel it'd be tough to watch those episodes a second time. On top of that, the pacing wasn't too bad, and it made me wonder if the first season should get a new appraisal. Let's go, new season. I'm already spoiled on much of what happens, but that's just business by now.
