  1. Touhou Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream 4 (end) And I ended up breaking the resolution the day I posted about it: I was gonna watch Robot Carnival for 3/52, then got to the BD main menu... and wasn't feeling it. Oh well. I should still go through with the project even if I'm tardy with at least one movie, but I've got other, more personally-important things to take care of first. [give me weaker fairies or i retire]
  2. Hundreds of Beavers - 4.5/5 I guess? That's what Anthony rated it. By the way, this is part of a project that came from a belated New Year's resolution: I have not watched enough movies in my life, so I want to watch at least one new movie every week for a whole year. This is Part 2 of 52 of that. Hopefully you all aren't too familiar with the hype for this movie, which I was exposed to through a jam band forum. I went in having seen no footage but with a vague idea of how the movie would go... and yet it still floored me. Brilliant comedy, unapologetic in its indie roots, and if you're interested I highly recommend the official YouTube upload of it, which is free and even lacks ads if you have Premium.
  3. ReStage! Dream Days 6 Touhou Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream 3
  4. Hey, that ain't a bad thing. If I wasn't on Zoloft, I might've drank to forget it. Here's something interesting I wanted to put here, because where else could it go: This game was recently featured at AGDQ... during the Awful Block. God, could whoever's writing this stuff lay off the super-thick metaphors?
  5. Definitely agree that the mid-2010s was the peak for modern Toonami, though it looks likes I started falling off a little quicker than the rest of you. At least I still record stuff and have an army of shows on the DVR ready to go... whenever. Too bad I haven't even finished Uzumaki yet, as if I even want to.
  6. Figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to pimp the mangaka's next series. It's revisiting the roots a bit with a fish-out-of-water premise, and the MC has already gotten a some fan art on Twitter that Anbe himself has retweeted. I'm tempted to go whole hog and buy the first volume, which is due out in June, but I might as well pony up for the first scanalated chapters first.
  7. Well, not on the TV, and I have a Phish jam going instead of sound, but I wanted to post this here too. Think I'll continue with The History of the Atlanta Falcons tonight. The next episode up is the one focusing on Deion Sanders.
  8. Bittersweet Motel - 10/10 Like, come on, how else would I rate it? This film, which I just recently found out shares a director with Joker, is like going to wook church. I should've watched it a lot sooner. [ha ha ha, you paid us!]
  9. ReStage! Dream Days 5 Touhou Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream 2 In case you thought I was being cheeky with this: no, I'm not doing another rewatch post for my Touhou anime thread. I will say, however, that I like this series more than I did the first time. Shouldn't have gone so hard on the "the scene transitions are so basic!" criticism.
  10. Touhou Musou Kakyou: A Summer Day's Dream 1 Finished with a record low media log entries for one month in December, but at least I got a fun one in before the year closed. Reimu wins the Golden Hot Dog this year, give it up for her.
  11. Touhou Hifuu Club ~The Sealed Esoteric History~ Rewatch discussion
  12. ReStage! Dream Days 2/3 ['til we all fall down]
  13. Hey now, some of us are taking Zoloft. It's not an issue now, but if I ever want to become more romantically involved, I know who to call.
  14. If I'm posting in this folder, you know I'm feeling it. Stay jolly, everyone.
  15. Holy shit, that's a great bump. I should've been posting in this thread years ago.
  16. That's only for the worst show of the season. But to be fair, it does seem like a top contender for the whole year. [hopefully a show i watched is picked as the best]
  17. I only got four episodes into Sailor Moon (before they even introduced other Senshi!) before crashing out stalling. At least I still have everything on the DVR, so unless someone else deleted it, I can still watch. So thanks for your advice, Poke, but I think I'll pass.
  18. Funnily enough, my local theater has been closed lately due to a rat infestation. (There must be something going on in that town, because it's been a problem at a local school too.) So if DeMarco really does get the axe over this, I guess I'll indirectly take the blame.
  19. Actually, it looks like there's no plan:
  20. Akira (2001 dub) Also went back to my old BD. On this watch, I really came to appreciate the grain, which even manages to add to some scenes.
  21. Akira - 10/10 Still hits. So glad Toonami was what introduced me to this film.
  22. ReStage! Dream Days 1/2 Between this sh❎w and Blue Archive, I think I've disc❎vered the secret t❎ making a g❎❎d franchise: put a cl❎ne ❎f Hime Arikawa in it. [i'll finish it this time, i pr❎mise]
