Why cut the 8 PM airing? Because all it seems to be doing is get everyone to just tune in for THAT timeslot instead of the later one during the block, dropping its ratings down, and thus dropping the ratings for the rest of the block with it.

This seems to fail in manga/light novel/anime in general. If you want male audiences to project themselves into the story, DO NOT portray their character as NOT a character! They tried to do this by adapting the Kancolle game, which has no real story, into an anime, by portraying the Admiral as a silent, off-screen, mysterious presence- the anime wasn't successful enough to have a continuation.

But then they'd be faced with only 4 or 5 hours of broadcast time, instead of the much cheaper option to air a ton more # of hours that reiterates the plot of both things, over a longer period of time.

I thought we're SICK of the "harem cast with only 1 main male character", but then again, we're not part of the Japanese demographic.

The fact that an ecchi show can't succeed in Japan baffled me. It's like most of their anime production right now, and has been for years! So why NOW of all times is something like this failing?

They hosted a long-awaited Q&A on Pre-Flight. .... I think they used Pre-Flight as kind of a replacement for their Tumblr.

(one of the rare times I directly reply to a post you make! ) Actually, the #onepiecesailson movement on Twitter DOES force you to watch episodes at a certain time. That time is 10 PM on Saturdays. Thing is, instead of using a pre-planned linear cable service, you need to seek the episodes online yourself, which does require a bit more work.

I saw it, but man my life is so busy right now to even form an in-depth analysis of my reactions from each ep. I do watch it every Saturday, but then I gotta go out to do work, errands,and other weekend stuff, and then my focus is on Samurai Jack, Onepiecesailson, and then Toonami, before I go to bed! My memory of my feelings is hazy by then.
