  1. I'll forget all about it eight minutes later because I seriously don't care.
  2. So, your TV is now the Elf on the Shelf. Yeah... that's what grown men and women need in a free society. Is this what our government is reduced to - watching people clip their toe nails, fold laundry and generally doing all the mundane crap that goes on in a household between work schedules?
  3. That concept seems to be making the rounds in talk radio. I wonder whether that's doable when the TV isn't connected to cable, satellite or streaming.
  4. Quite an oddball radio. No information about it on the web, except that PS Casual is a cologne and perfume brand. The radio is probably part of a promotional package like, "Spend $100 or more on our fine fragrance selections and receive this radio cassette player as a free gift." Sound quality: The whole low end of the sound spectrum is cut off, but it doesn't crackle or rattle. Good for listening over the din of road traffic. Convenience: Compact size makes it fit easily into messenger bags. The use of three "D" sized batteries as the power source gives it exceptional marathon play. Ease of use: Good selectivity in tuning, not drifting out of tune. Just set it and forget it. Flaw: Slide volume control needs occasional shots with electrical contact cleaner, not very well sealed against dust. Over all: Great to have for talk shows and news broadcast, not so for music.
  5. Every cashier I dealt with today was a lady. I guess not showing up for work has a consequence they don't want.
  6. Real robots or fiction? Real: The cops use robots that walk into situations where people and dogs can't safely go. The robots do the dangerous jobs. Fiction: What's not to like? There's one for every purpose and sometimes their personalities make them more interesting than most people.
  7. Not enough about the Leeds Family in the game? A character isn't complete without origins.
  8. This thread has been made before. Time to shower again.
  9. No reported sightings lately. Must have something to do with its habitat being torn up for heavy development.

  11. Typing too fast... my break was almost over. That should have been, "bust" the bottles. Now, you say they were empty boxes. That wouldn't break any bottles, of course, but your boss might have a point. When you go to get another full box, just carry the empty one with you.
  12. Doesn't throwing the boxes break the bottles?
  13. Lord Trump, mayor of Pepperland!
  14. I heard Akihabara is really the best part. It's where the consumer electronics are twenty years ahead of what's available in the U.S.
  15. Never mind any of that. How big is your deal dough?
  16. It's a volume thing. The 12 cup serves four people.
  17. That is my primary method for all morning cups. However, I do keep a 12 cup dripper for guests.
  18. Newsie... that was one of my first jobs. I didn't deliver to houses. I stood on the promenade and barked out the headlines.
  19. Cold water can get the smell out. Sometimes it's the method that makes the difference. Don't cram the washer. Pile the clothes in at 2/3 of the barrel or less. That lets the water circulate more thoroughly and get the malodorous substances out of the fabric. Also, try using less detergent. Detergent is mostly a surfactant. it makes the water softer so it flows better between the clothing fibers. When you use too much, it leaves a sticky film on the cloth.
  20. Susan Powter probably earns more. You should start dating her right away.
  21. I'd be impressed if you date Susan Powter.
  22. You can find those in Philly.
  23. I'd bet everything else in that neighborhood has changed quite dramatically since then.
