  1. Its fairly garbage most of the time. It was the only source I could find that wasnt an outright blog. I sorta figured the story was crap, but it was worth flagging just in case it actually was true. Oh well, Winny the Pooh survives another day.
  2. So Im not going to post the videos, but there are a few circulating today of conscripts apparently shooting their officers. Heres a story about it: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/sep/26/russia-man-shoots-commander-drafting-residents-for-war-in-ukraine This is in addition to a weave of arson attacks against conscription offices. Sureeeee starting to seem like Russians would rather turn on their own than go fight in Ukraine.
  3. Maybe. They also could target another city like Kyiv.
  4. I dont think he is either, but hes also backing himself into a corner. he has staked his entire legacy on a war that he is losing badly. His mobilization effort is causing all sorts of strife within Russia. Its going to fail to turn the tide of war. And its becoming more likely that he will feel he has no option other than to go pure strong-man and display that in any way necessary to cling to power. The sham referendum will absolutely pass and then Russia will claim that as their own territory. Ukraine has a very real chance at retaking all territory lost since the war started, and maybe even back to 2014. Whats going to happen after Ukraine takes their territory back and Russia claims it as theirs?
  5. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jake-sullivan-face-the-nation-transcript-09-25-2022/ Im not exactly enthused with all the talk about nuclear weapons lately. It really does seem like something has changed and there is a real fear of Russia using Nukes in Ukraine. With their shame referendum they have this ass-backwards thinking that if Ukraine retakes that territory its an attack on the Russian homeland, which would justify the use of nuclear weapons.
  6. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/09/25/ian-could-become-major-hurricane-targets-florida-what-we-know/8113790001/ Hurricane Ian is heading toward Florida and may be the first major hurricane to make landfall this year. Some models have this storm as potentially a Category 4 when it makes its first landfall somewhere on the West coast of Florida. A state of emergency has already been declared for the entire state of Florida and resources are being deployed in advance of the storms impact.
  7. That was some of the single worst football ever and was a national disgrace for the ages. But we won and are in 1st place in the AFC West, so everyone else can suck it! Woooo! We're hot garbage but better garbage than the rest of the AFC West!
  8. Immovable Obstinance vs an Unstoppable Farce.
  9. Something might be going on with the leadership in China. There's rumors all over the place that there may have been either a successful coup or a coup attempt. Supposedly Winny the Pooh (Xi) was removed as the head of the PLA as part of some sort of internal power struggle. Absolutely none of this is confirmed anywhere, but it does appear that something may be happening in China. Most of the sources on this are pretty weak but it may be worth keeping an eye on. Or it may be nothing at all and we will wake up to another story of Xi threatening Taiwan and locking down the country in his Zero Covid policy. https://www.newsweek.com/xi-jinping-house-arrest-china-military-coup-rumors-1746014
  10. Missed this a couple days ago. Russia has moved its subs out of Crimea. Thats not exactly a sign of confidence.
  11. Its not verified, but its pretty damn believable with everything else thats happened over the last 24 hours.
  12. The fact that TikTok even exists is further proof of our decline. Its a garbage platform where the dumbest of dumb things come from. Its basically where the people too stupid for all the other social media sites wind up. Its also a Chinese spy tool where they track and store every piece of data that goes through the program.
  13. "partial mobilization" is just another way to say "we are getting our asses kicked and need more people to throw in the grinder". Its a pretty clear sign that Russia is losing this war.
  14. Ohhhhhh shiiiiii..... Thankfully someones looking out for me or I would have totally missed that one Not like I will pick it right though.......lol
  15. Its OK though, the sanctions and efforts to isolate Russia are totally ineffective. Russia is backed into a corner and is going to set fire to its economy to try and save its war. Full mobilization is probably coming, and that will utterly destroy the Russian economy. Not to mention probably cause all sorts of unrest in Russia itself.
  16. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2022/senate/az/arizona-senate-masters-vs-kelly-7390.html Arizona is now tightening up as well. Lake has an outright lead for the Governors race, and Kelly has seen his lead start to shrink. I thought that AZ was pretty safe for Democrats because the GOP candidates are pure garbage. But maybe not. The national atmosphere may be just so overwhelming that it drowns out how shitty the GOP candidates are.
  17. Both of those games sucked, but that overshadows the bigger problem with last nights games. Who schedules two games on monday night to start practically at the same time? If you are going to do 2 MNF games you have one on the east coast and one on the west coast so that when one ends you can flip on the other. The way they did it you couldnt really keep track of both games, and they were even announcing what was going on in the other game. Just seems super dumb to do it this way.
  18. We did it! We beat a bad team while playing like crap! My absolute favorite part of the day yesterday was when we all started to count down from 10 because its apparent that the Broncos Offense doesnt know how to. I anticipate a need to do it again Sunday night when we get embarrassed on national TV.
  19. "The pandemic is over, we still have a problem with Covid" Hes not wrong. We moved from the pandemic phase of this virus to the endemic phase ages ago. Its not going to ever go away, but its not a pandemic anymore. We just have to learn to live with it.
  20. The 3rd option here is to turn their guns on their commanders and either flee or surrender. Which will likely start to happen sooner than later.
  21. Russia is increasingly resorting to terrorism as they lose the war. The attacks on and near the nuclear plant are just an escalation in their terrorism. At this point I think Russia would love for another Chernobyl event to happen in Ukraine. if they cant have the land, no one can. Russian propagandists are also increasing their nuclear rhetoric. Lots of talk about deploying tactical nuclear weapons to turn the war. Theres even some talk of using nukes against the UK and other NATO nations as a way to stop their support of Ukraine. These people are totally deranged.
  22. Im working from home today so I can do both It really is a big deal to. Its been a very long time since something like this has happened.
  23. Watching the funeral procession is something else.
