  1. Nothing left to do but get it up and running for the "great unveiling" I didn't really see the point of the discord chat... I know I didn't really stay long, but you didn't really say anything that hasn't already been posted here, and it just seemed like a big circle jerk so I didn't see the point.
  2. Oddly enough I didn't see that coming.
  3. Could he be more unemotionally attached? Is that an independent skit or is it from something?
  4. Im aware of this I've looked and asked around at this point. Someone told me google takes about 40% of their total ad revenue. I think it matches up with this I'll repost it. There ARE still otherways to make money off of avertisements other than getting lucky when a viewer accidentally clicks an ad, or baiting them into it. Especially here in the present day.. http://videopower.org/how-many-views-to-make-money-on-youtube/
  5. decent site map I guess.
  6. That sucks bro.. Yeah it'd be hard for me to get myself to disturb some lil babies.
  7. Still a small black banner ad from your sponsors on the side of your video that absolutely in no way hinders the watchability of the video will go unseen. Sure you can call that "intrusive", but for people that do gaming channels or have series set up so stopping for an ad or trying to put some product placement in there shit without pausing the stream is going to upset viewers. It's not as easy as you make it sound, and they legally have to meet certain requirements from the advertiser to get paid. I was just trying to provide some food for thought not get a bunch of keyboard warriors to turn off their adblock..
  8. >_> If your talking about the guy in the video I'm sure he is a douchebag corporate suck-up, but he hit a lot of the valid points I'd probably hit after looking into this a while and scanning multiple sources. I will say this. I paused adblock and continued to watch youtube, and I got a pre-roll ad like EVERY video. I saw an ad from Mcdonalds to the top right of markiplier's channel above the suggested vids. With adblock on youtube is almost completely adless for me, no pre-roll ad no very small advert for sponsors or anything. This thread was focused mainly on youtubing, but I'm sure you have alot better idea and maybe negative experiences if you've developed any type of basic site..forum or whatever. My goal was to go over how the simple every day joe makes money from youtube, and adblock can hurt their profits substantially from what I've seen. Speaking of web developers I remember just THE WORD "Adblock" was filtered on the ASMB because I guess the network, and or content creators TRIED to hinder the spread if it, and that gave me a good chuckle. Basically all I'm saying is if you know anybody struggling or just starting out trying to get into the business and you want to support them think about pausing adblock for a few minutes while you view their content if you know and trust them it isn't costing you anything it's just another free way to support what they do.
  9. Well to rap up my short little to do or not to do question. I think I might at least unpause my adblock here and there on youtube. Especially if it's an actual friend trying to get a good channel started, It hurts the little guy a lot more than it hurts google, which has owned youtube for years now. Google still gets to make their ad money off the sheer amount of uploaders uploading to youtube, but some people have brought up the potential of adblock to end the whole free viewing aspect. This pretty much sums it up.
  10. -1 no pineapple
  11. That article basically shows what I needed to know. I personally don't know anybody that sits there clicking on ads in their fav youtubers videos, but youtubers are still making a decent living regardless. It's really small channels that don't know how to market themselves right that might actually complain about this.. Can't believe this guy was actually complaining about it.. but that's what patreon, live streams, t-shirts.. I have had an irl friend get on to me for using adblock on free streaming sites and shit, but that's kind of different.
  12. By ads I mean actual commercial advertisements. I was under the impression thats how youtubers got most of their ad revenue. anyway this should spell it out. http://videopower.org/how-many-views-to-make-money-on-youtube/
  13. yeah, but the ad will still play inside a videostream... that's like trying to use adblock to block a radio commercial or the commercials on your hulu or something. If they are getting paid for little clicker adds and really need that shit as a youtuber I don't honestly think I give af.
  14. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter youtube throws advertisements into your videos where ever they want and it's part of the video stream.. Theres NO WAY adblock can block that, and that's how a youtuber gets paid for ads. Pretty sure this guy's trippin.
  15. I just heard someone I subscribe to say something about adblock hurting his profits, but I could have misheard. I still get adds with adblock on. They are pretty rare but they happen..Anyway a lot of sites now that still need their annoying or flashy little pop up adds for revenue throw a disclaimer up and block a vid until you turn it off, and that's usually the only time my adblock ever goes off.. I'm pretty sure this guy was confused, but I could be wrong. I've never heard a youtuber complain about adblock before so I'm just curious.

Awesome part of owning my own homw with no roomates. Everything in my fridge IS MINE!!! IT'S ALL MINE AHAA!! :fap:
  17. I honestly don't care what you think. I'm just saying that'd be a win,win,win,win... no animals have to die for space testing.. scientists can test the effects of the shuttles flight on humans, and there might be a lot fewer flat earthers around to disregard common knowledge and waste space and time with ridicululous theories that cant even hold a fraction of their own weight.Plus they'd get to see the round earth with their own eyes.

There's more than one way to admit defeat. It's going to cost a business time and money to reformat their systems. Some companies might lose the same amount of $ if not more than the ransom by doing it. That's why this is a thing..

    That might be interesting.

That doesn't sound like protection that sounds like admitting defeat. Probably not a cost effective solution either.
  21. None of our shit would work right if the earth was flat. Too bad this flat earth fad shit wasn't around during the cold war. We could've just strpped these idiots to a beta phase rocket and saved a few chimpanzee lives. chimp lives matter/
