I actually like how clean it turned out.. I'm not even finished with the writing for that beat yet, but I wanted to see if I could use FL studio as good as I can cool edit pro. I may end up just recording with FL from now on... Well I still have an unfinished project in cooledit I'm excited about. There's still A LOT of things I need to learn how to do in FL to make tracks as good as I want to in it.

someone told me to "hit them up they have bud" but I don't like them. Also I don't wanna buy any right now because I don't know when I'm gonna have money coming in I've been waiting like a week for this company to get me the tools I need to start my job. I need keys, and a terminator wrench that "you probably wont find in stores" I see one on ebay for $3 maybe I should buy it. I think it's what I need.

NAh I have a pc.. I am really not a mac person, but I've been told multiple times by musicians to atleast consider building one for music..Or just get a good laptop but meh.. I wanted a computer that would do EVERYTHING. and I'm just not a fan of the IOS.. or any apple computer software.'ve heard good things about logic and reason though.. Maybe I'll look into reason. Pro-tools, Logic, and Reason are the three most popular DAWS used in professional recording studios.

I looked into protools, but for someone that's going to be prominently recording rap vocals It is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I wouldn't mind spending a little money on a better main DAW, but I don't really think it's worth it. I mainly use cool edit pro. When I first built this computer to do gaming/music production I ended up getting a dj that repaired computers to get mine up and running since no one else could figure out why it wouldn't boot. He got it up and running and since I told him I rapped he threw on cool edit pro, and fl studio for free... which was awesome of him, but cool edit pro is just too old it's the predicessor of Adobe Auditions which I WAS using on my laptop, but it burnt out and the program was a crack so.. After all that work planning a better set up I ended up having to record using a downgraded DAW. It crashes and looses shit, and I'm just starting to get into more complex sampling.

Note to self.. Use the sterio seperation nob in the mixer tab.. Stupid audio engineers..or fl programmers..or whoever. How was I supposed to figure THAT out based on this statement: FL Studio expects a stereo input signal since all Mixer tracks are stereo. You are probably feeding your audio-interface a signal that only appears on the left or right channel of a stereo input. Solution: The Mixer INPUT menu has an upper stereo list and lower mono list. You have selected from the upper stereo INPUT. Select your input from the lower, mono INPUT list. This will copy the active channel into the silent stereo channel so audio comes from both speakers

Fuckin' Bitch. FL Studio has too many quirks for me.. might be ok if I could get it set up right... now that I have it recording from the right place on the right driver it screwed up my ability to play audio outside of fl studio... earlier I had to unplug freakin everything until finally it started working right. I need to get adobe again.. and it's still only playing back threw one monitor. I fixed this issue in cooledit pro, but i dont know how to on this program..

So.. if they make a mix to autoplay they still have to use some sort of DAW or program.

I've been playing with it for a few minutes.. I still don't think I have the settings the way they are supposed to be to record, but it is picking up my voice through the mic connected to my pre amp.. I just don't think it's using the correct driver my preamp inputs are ghosted out.. I honest think adobe auditions is the best DAW I've used, for recording rap, however it doesn't have the capability of making beats as far as I know. Not that I have experience making them. Anybody else here record vocals, or have any experience with Digital Audio Workstations?

Nothing left to do but get it up and running for the "great unveiling" I didn't really see the point of the discord chat... I know I didn't really stay long, but you didn't really say anything that hasn't already been posted here, and it just seemed like a big circle jerk so I didn't see the point.

Im aware of this I've looked and asked around at this point. Someone told me google takes about 40% of their total ad revenue. I think it matches up with this I'll repost it. There ARE still otherways to make money off of avertisements other than getting lucky when a viewer accidentally clicks an ad, or baiting them into it. Still a small black banner ad from your sponsors on the side of your video that absolutely in no way hinders the watchability of the video will go unseen. Sure you can call that "intrusive", but for people that do gaming channels or have series set up so stopping for an ad or trying to put some product placement in there shit without pausing the stream is going to upset viewers. It's not as easy as you make it sound, and they legally have to meet certain requirements from the advertiser to get paid. I was just trying to provide some food for thought not get a bunch of keyboard warriors to turn off their adblock..

I will say this. I paused adblock and continued to watch youtube, and I got a pre-roll ad like EVERY video. I saw an ad from Mcdonalds to the top right of markiplier's channel above the suggested vids. With adblock on youtube is almost completely adless for me, no pre-roll ad no very small advert for sponsors or anything. This thread was focused mainly on youtubing, but I'm sure you have alot better idea and maybe negative experiences if you've developed any type of basic site..forum or whatever. My goal was to go over how the simple every day joe makes money from youtube, and adblock can hurt their profits substantially from what I've seen. Speaking of web developers I remember just THE WORD "Adblock" was filtered on the ASMB because I guess the network, and or content creators TRIED to hinder the spread if it, and that gave me a good chuckle. Basically all I'm saying is if you know anybody struggling or just starting out trying to get into the business and you want to support them think about pausing adblock for a few minutes while you view their content if you know and trust them it isn't costing you anything it's just another free way to support what they do.
