Oh my glob. Maybe I'm conservative on the specific issue of technology. I have always been like, "this new tech sounds dumb. I'm not doing that".

In health care, AI is used to analyze a patient's ECG. A doctor will read the computerized analysis and quickly discount it. He or she will then analyze the ECG on their own.

Despite all the hype, many applications of AI are surprisingly unnecessary to daily life. Search engines, web feeds, service chatbots and digital assistants are all things people can live without. Recommendation systems on your Netflix or YouTube accounts aren't important if you think they are complete bunk and don't pay attention to them. Don't get me started on self-driving cars and how that's probably never going to happen. Are we 100% sure AI isn't the new cryptocurrency or NFTs?

This seems similar to people being gullible enough to think anything they see online is legit. Think of the person who thinks obviously fake ads attached to articles on Cracked.com (or whatever website that is desperate enough to sell ad space to fraudsters). Even posts on social media, I don't read/look at it unless it's coming from an account I trust. I may read a post shared by the official account of CNN that I am 100% sure is the official account but I never read posts from a random "news" account I've never heard of before. This kind of fooling people has been around for as long as the interet has existed. Doesn't make it less annoying though.

To elaborate on this because I've been replaying the game, the satire of deadend jobs is remarkably on point. I've worked in such jobs before, where managers have resigned themselves to burning through expendable employees. They just assume the new employee isn't going to last long. The Phone Guy character acts exactly like them. Some people are confused by Phone Guy. "Why does he act the way he does?" they will ask. Those people have never worked in a job like that before.

In order for machines to take over the world and put all human beings in zoos they are going to need sentience or consciousness. We don't know how consciousness works in human beings. It's called the "hard problem of consciousness". The idea that we humans are going to give it to another entity when we don't understand it in ourselves is a little far-fetched.

Too often during weekends, I hit a point where I'm so idle that negative emotions claw their way to the surface. "Now that I've been alone with my thoughts for a day, I'm a little depressed." Although this weekend (I'm posting this on a Sunday night) has been okay. I think because it's been a sunny, cool autumn day.

I won't even opine on the use of "thermonuclear". -

That makes more sense. It was because Musk put the modifier before the subject in the sentence. "X Corp will be filing a thermonuclear lawsuit the split second court opens on Monday," would have been more understandable. Aside from that, I don't know if this makes the statement less dumb. Adding unnecessary adjectives for emotional emphasis. Not only is he angry, but he's "super duper angry". That's dumb for an entirely different reason.
