  1. everything looks so crisp on the ipad. its a great way to read, but free is hard to pass up
  2. I've been using the Viz app on my ipad. Is Mangadex free/web based?
  3. yeah these 2 characters were really cool, but it literally went nowhere. For such high concept they really failed to take advantage. No idea if the manga is any better but Id be curious to find out.
  4. there were some fairly interesting elements they introduced in this season, but i dont remember them really going anywhere.
  5. Yeah I vividly remember early AoT and being so curious about what the heck was going on. Obviously things were a lot simpler back then and I took all these show acquisitions for granted.
  6. I had the same thought and it's why I think Nanachi didn't overreact when Riko relayed the story. Either way shes trapped in their unable to communicate. Essentially in a vegetative state.
  7. Yeah truly, the more I watch the more I'm impressed with everything. It's all great - the writing, the world building, the art and music. My only critique would be the tendency to manipulate the audience on an emotional level a little too overtly. Like Mitty and Nanachi. It's emotional but feels a tad manipulative. Other than that, this is an a to s-tier work of fantasy imo
  8. It sucks that there's so much red tape to deal with these days. We need this on Toonami.
  9. Youre dead on. The creators have managed to keep it mysterious and otherworldly while also very recognizable in a sense too. At times it feels like the Abyss could be a natural occurrence or the result of human tampering. Maybe I missed an explanation somewhere but it still seems rather vague to me.
  10. Definitely. The boulder metaphor and being trapped was perfectly done too. Nothing over the top and still vague enough to to be open to interpretation regarding if Mitty was still conscious or if it was more of a symbolic connection with Riko.
  11. I never really thought of it that way but youre right. It's like the reverse though. Lovecraft dealt with the vastness and coldness of infinite space, whereas this delves into the darkness of nature and the earth (or an earth like planet).
  12. the Abyss itself is really a unique creation that is up there with some of the best works of fiction imo. So many possibilities too
