  1. I thought you were maybe just joking before, but do you really not understand what a lie is and that you're comparing apples and oranges here? A lie has the intention to deceive. Someone writing a fiction novel or something like that does so with the intent to entertain, not to deceive and get people to believe what they are saying is true. Kind of a big difference.
  2. Yes, because fiction writers make it a point to preface to their readers that their works are all 100% the truth and people ought to believe and follow what they say to save their eternal souls.
  3. I just hate lies and liars, and religion as I see it is all based on feeding people made up stories to try and get them to behave according to the rules and beliefs of its leaders. Its purpose is basically the same as government, but it lacks direct power to enforce people to adhere to its tenets nowadays, so it relies upon instilling guilt over bad behavior and fear of punishment in the hereafter to try and influence people's behavior and get them to conform to whatever the desired norm is.
  4. Heh, even if Giovani can read what's inside people's minds now, it won't help him against Arthur, since you know... there's nothing there.
  5. Love and Monsters 9/10 Very similar to Zombieland, only mutated insect/animal monsters instead of the undead. At first I thought it was gonna be a sort of weak ripoff at best, but it wound up being pretty damn good. Even if it wasn't, I probably would have watched it anyway just cuz it has an appearance by Michael Rooker in it.
  6. Still my favorite, and probably always will be. I liked Enterprise, too, and agree it was underrated. Voyage is probably my least favorite of all the TV series, though it got better in the later seasons. As for the movies, the rule as I remember it is pretty much all the even numbered ones were good, the odd numbered ones not so much.
  7. Watched some of The Watch. Are all british sci-fi shows this wacky? I never got in to Dr. Who. Just didn't seem like something I'd like, but so far I'm enjoying this one. The Grim Reaper character is hysterical. I just hope he keeps making appearances.
  8. Finished Heroes Reborn. Pretty meh. Can see why it didn't continue any further. Even though they did eventually work in more of the original series characters, they were probably doomed from the start with not being to get back the actors for Sylar and Peter. That and the plot was pretty ridiculous.
  9. Bummer. Try to look on the bright side though, at least the flowers didn't get you.
  10. Having amnesia. Then again, maybe I have and I just forgot about it. Mind... blown. 🤯
  11. What the U.S. in particular is vulnerable to is the rampant greed and selfishness that incentives some to commit mass deception for their own personal benefit. As long as it pays so well to stoke anger, fear, and division any kind of nationwide crisis can and will be exploited for a cheap buck and makes it that much harder to mount the type of unified response needed to overcome such a crisis then. If it was some type of visible or easily defineable enemy, it would be easier for people to get beyond that and come together, but without that in the absence of strong leadership you get what we got. A total clusterfuck.
  12. My Hero Academia Two Heroes and Heroes Rising movies
  13. Finished Heroes, both seasons 3 and 4. Not bad, but a little disappointed the way it ended. I see slipping ratings got it cancelled early. That's too bad. Started watching Heroes Reborn hoping it would pick up more or less right where it left off, and I'm really disappointed so far that the only character it seems they really brought back for any length of time was Noah. Oh well, guess I'll finish it out still.
  14. (In best Crocodile Dundee accent) That's ain't a dead board... Now that's a dead board.
  15. Kittys are by definition angels, so I'm sure you deserved it. Make it up to them and smuggle them some catnip to them and I'm sure they'll forgive you and bite you on the other hand so they match again. Heh, I still got a little scar on my leg from when my cat dug his claws into it when I took him outside a little too long and he started to feel the call of the wild. He was a housecat, but I took him out in our backyard every once in a while on a leash, and he'd be fine for the first five or ten minutes, but after that would start to freak out and get kinda crazy, so after he gashed me that one time I learned my lesson and always brought him back inside after a little while.
  16. Finished season 2 of Heroes and am about halfway through season 3. I always wondered why they had an image of an eclipse in the title card image. Guess now I know.
  17. Well, given that sequels are pretty much ubiquitously viewed as being worse than the original, my prediction is for an unbelievably even more miserable sequel. Ha ha ha ha ha! Ah ha ha ha ha! 😈
  18. Artic Dogs 6/10 Dumbo (live-action) 9/10 Mulan (live-action) 5/10 (Meh. I liked the animated version a lot more. First Disney live-action movie to really disappoint me honestly. Really surprised they didn't have any singing.) Bill & Ted Face the Music 8/10 (Almost felt like Keanu and Alex never stopped being Bill and Ted somehow. Guess they still got it. Party on dudes!) The New Mutants 8/10 (Pretty nice cross between horror and super hero genres.)
  19. Been watching Heroes for the first time. Was just gonna watch an episode or two and now I'm hooked and already finished the first season. Was shocked but very pleased when I saw Stan Lee had a cameo in it. That totally made my day.
  20. Okay, let's see... Hmmmm, how to respond to this then... How about...
  21. I think they're just faking. ::takes sword and sticks it in...:: 😈 Nope. Guess it wasn't faking. 😮 I'ma get my shovel. On second thought, maybe we should give it a Viking funeral.
  22. Hey, you're somebody I actually remember. Wow. Welcome home. What a long journey you must of had to get here. Why don't take a load off. Just sit back, relax, and rest your weary eyes. Quck, somebody, get the chloroform and rope. We can't let another one get away.
  23. Ride Your Wave That was better than I thought it was going to be. Pretty much the opposite of Children of the Sea which I also saw not that long ago and was really disappointed by.
