    Movie set arrived the other day, so I just finished watching the third one. So much of that didn't make a lot of sense to me, but I'm glad I'm mostly caught up now. Still, need to watch last week's episode, but I'll do that in a little while.

    Top Gun: Maverick 8/10 Execution-wise that was perfection, but I knock it a couple of points simply because the whole mission scenario seemed a bit too farteched and totally derivative of the first Star Wars movie. If you're going to copy off something though, I mean, at least they picked something really great to do it with.

    I almost missed this cuz my cable guide listed it as part of Made in Abyss, which it showed as being an hour and a half for some reason (probably something to do with the daylight savings time change I guess). I DVRed it though so once I figured out what was going on I was able to go back and see it. But oh man! It kills me they didn't tell us which emperor Law wants to take down. Can't be Shanks though, right? No way Luffy would go along with that... but then he is Luffy, so you never know I guess. The look of shock on the others' faces is the only thing that makes me wonder about that. "You got enough hats there, Law?" LOL That part killed me. Law is a very interesting character, so I'm really looking forward to him being a more regular player in the show for a while now hopefully. Can't wait to find out what his real motivation in all this is.

    Yeah, I know they have it on there, but I got a month free subscription from HIDIVE once before though as a bonus deal to making a purchase from the Sentai shop, so I'm not sure if I'd be eligible for the free trial anymore. Besides there's not enough time to see it before the season 2 premiere now anyway, plus I just went and ordered the movie set off ebay right before I popped on here, so with any luck I'll get it before next week rolls around and I can be caught up by then.

    Dang. When I first saw this on the schedule, because it's an hour and a half, I thought it was the third movie. Now that I see it's actually the start of season 2 which follows it, damn. I knew I should have bought the movie collection sooner. Guess this means I can't watch it tonight.

    The Munsters 9/10 (Lotta laughs and felt very true to the original series. Probably gotta be a fan of that though to get the same kind of enjoyment I got from it.) Beast 9/10 (I was thinking this might be very similar to The Ghost and the Darkness, but it wasn't at all really. Solid survival story.

    Finished watching Sliders. Disappointed, and a little surprised it had a non-ending ending. Guess the writers thought they were gonna get another season, even after losing the main star of the show, which makes little sense to me honestly, but whatever. Final season did have a few bright spots, but that kinda put the cherry on the turd sundae that it was compared to the rest of the series. Aw well, that's too bad. Kinda hope one day maybe they do a reboot, or more like a remake I suppose of it. Show had a lot of wasted potential really.

    Well, that didn't disappoint. Only thing I don't quite get is why she was feigning having a mom. Was she just pretending about that thing being her mom so she could feel more like a normal little girl? It's not like it was to fool anyone else, so that's about the only thing that makes much sense to me.

    Damn! I think the most shocking thing of all though is that I'm actually starting to finally understand things. So that guy really did take his own life in the last episode by hanging himself in the cave then. Kimi saw him making her cry but before the other girl could come in and see him she turned him to moss to spare her the shock.

    I love that show so much. If you're just starting it, really hope you continue with it. I kinda gave it pass for a while, but decided to give a chance one day and got super hooked. Got totally depressed when it ended. The finale was awesome though. I've been taking a nostalgia trip and binging Sliders lately. I'm currently in the middle of the fifth and final season. I remember seeing some of it from back when it was orginally on TV like forever ago when I was still like a teenager, but I wasn't like a regular viewer. Just kind of watched it casually once in a while, so never realized how much turnover they had with the cast. Kind of crazy only one of the original regular actors made it to the final season. Sounds like it had to do with some of them having issues with the writers and producers, and then the show wound up switching networks late in its run which sort of led to them losing the lead character, which was pretty much the death knell for it, no surprise.

    I went back and just rewatched the episode, and noticed what I think you were referring to here, which I have to say I totally missed the first time around. It just brings up more questions than answers, but when Kimi first enters that mysterious chamber wth all the writing on the walls, for a split second it looks like someone (Taka I can only presume) hanging from a tie that's wrapped around that stalactite that's just above the pile of moss there. Seeing that is how come Kimi starts to cry for a second it seems like, so... Okay, I mean, as if it's not weird enough that people seem to be turning into moss, now they're hanging themselves and then turning into moss? Kimi could've just imagined it I suppose, but I dunno. I don't see how they're gonna be able to explain everything with just one more episode. I'll be shocked as hell if they can make it all make sense somehow anyway.

    This guy's got a laugh that could make the Joker green with envy. Hmmm. Perhaps that's not a coincidence now that I think about it. His name is Caeser clown, and he happens to have a contact called Joker. The Joker of course from Batman, also known as the clown prince of crime, and was played once by Caeser Romero in the old Batman TV series. Ha! Oh, and one of Joker's favorite weapons too is Joker laughing gas.

    So "Joker" is the navy traitor. Don't recall hearing that name before in One Piece. I'm guessing whatever new medicine Caesar's gonna use on them is do some crazy stuff and be bad news for Luffy's crew.
