    I didn't think about the island being far from Japan, so maybe they are close to the source of the petrification beam already then? Did they happen to say where exactly this Treasure Island is supposed to be located in the world? I can't remember either, but did the Soyuz crew try and land where the petrification source was? I was always thinking since the villagers were their descendants that they landed by Japan.

    The beam originated from the other side of the world though, so why would Why Man be from this Treasure Island though. Doesn't really make much sense if you asked me.
