    I was getting a feeling that maybe this could be like an origin story of Atomsk or Haruko or something, but given that this takes place after Alternative I thought that made no sense, so.... Color me very very confused about that ending. I really don't get it at all. Also, don't understand how Harumi was a guy. Glad I DVRed this, as I'm gonna have to rewatch it all to try and figure out what the heck was going on. I dunno, maybe I missed some important stuff, but seems like I'm not the only one left scratching their head about that ending.

    Why would there be a weight limit on gear when there's no weight limit on the competitors themselves? Seems pretty laughable. I mean it's okay for giants to compete against little guys and use giant weapons, but not for a little guy to put on some armor? C'mon.

    Well, so far it's doing a good job of upping the weirdness quotient with the ghosty things. What the heck is the Alternative girl doing there?And why the heck is Haruko cosplaying as a schoolgirl?

    The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid (live-action) 7/10 (Kind of a tale of two tails, the best way I think I could describe my feelings about this. It'd been so long since I saw the original animated film that I watched it again just before checking this out so I could better compare and contrast the two. On the one hand, I didn't like the way they did the underwater portion with the new movie. Was really hoping they'd show a bit more of the mermaid community, but they kind of did the opposite. Also, didn't like the Under the Sea rendition; felt like the original version was way better. The rest of the songs were pretty good, but that one really disappointed me I have to say. That said, I actually did like the changes they made to the on land part of the story. I particularly liked that they gave the prince a real backstory and made him more than just some perfect, flawless fairy tale character. Also, giving him and Ariel some things in common like they did made it much more understandable how the romantic connection between them could form so quickly.) The Flash 4/10 (That was just... well they got nuts. Indeed, maybe a little too nuts I think. Feels like DC must have really been sensitive to the criticism that their movies were too dark and serious, as they've definitely lightened up and injected a lot more humor into them of late, but with this one I think they finally overcorrected just too much with that. Basically, I give the movie 3 points for Michael Keaton coming back as Batman, and one point for Wonder Woman's brief cameo appearance, and pretty much pbbbbt for the rest of the pretty much pointless, nonsensical storyline.)
