I'm aware of all that but I'm not sure how often I'll request refunds. I USUALLY know what I'm buying.

My biggest caveat is the lack of physical media. I'm not a collector by any means but I like getting something to hold in my hands when I fork over $60+. Plus there's no way to recoup any of my losses should I buy something I end up not liking or don't plan on playing again. Then again, most likely something I want to play will always be on sale and I can reserve full price purchases for games I just have to have day one (FFXVI, I'm looking at you).

Good choices but you've priced it well out of the budget I set myself. I can get 10% discounts on anything I get from walmart, so the $850 my list came to is actually well under that. I can get the 1660 Super there once it's back in stock, too. I'm sticking to 1080p and 60 fps because I don't really care about anything beyond that so I'm not doing anything too pricey and I've left myself some room to upgrade things in the future (hopefully not for at least a few years).

I'm waiting for a bulk sale.

I'm keeping PS Now so I can potentially play a lot of PS games on the PC anyway, and then Game Pass isn't very expensive so there's tons of XBox games I can play on the the PC as well. Having the console is becoming less and less necessary.

Tell you what. Buy me all the parts for my PC and I'll by you a "brand new" Xbox. Deal?

I'm trying to keep costs down where I can and this is far from finalized. I'm mostly waiting to see what kind of black friday deals I can find before I set anything in stone (though I'm pretty dead set on the cpu and gpu). If I can find an affordable one with at least around 250gb (maybe even 120 if the price is right) I'll get it.

I think Bethesda is well past its prime. They should have bought them before Fallout 4 came out. The whole Fallout 76 fiasco left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.

They released an all in one package on the PS4. I'm working my way through the series right now.

If you aren't going to make the effort of follow the story, regardless of how you do it, don't even bother. Going right from 1 straight to 2 will just confuse you.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how good the demo is. Still not buying it until it's all in one complete package in 20 years but I'm actually optimistic about it now.
