  1. We all know by now that JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Parts 1 & 2 haven't exactly set the world on fire with their ratings, and so it's being replaced by AOT S2 on April 29th, well not only that, but: 1. The Stardust Crusaders dub isn't ready to air yet, and... 2. Wanna strike while that damn iron's hot on more AOT, baby! But what does this mean for the future of JoJo? They have also said that they want to air Stardust Crusaders, but when and in what timeslot? Would taking a VERY brief sabbatical and coming back with a brand-spankin' new promo and timeslot be enough for it? I'm thinking AOT S2 will premiere at 11:30 and bump the Dragon Ball Hour down to midnight, then simply move up to 11 PM after Memorial Day for its last 8 episodes, and Stardust would make a great companion for that replacing Jack. But will it be ready by then? And would it do well at 11:30? Since consistency is good, it would not make much sense to kneejerk the DB Hour down to midnight on April 29th and back up to 11:30 on June 3rd. But by the same token, AOT at 12:30 makes no damn sense either since it IS a broadcast dub (in fact Toonami's 3rd ever), and in the pecking order would only come behind a world premiere (Jack). So since Super is from 2015, 11:30 with Super moving down to Midnight only makes sense. But when Jack ends, then what? Stardust Crusaders is much older so it only makes sense for AOT S2 to take 11 PM at that point, IF Stardust is coming in to replace Jack. But COULD that timeslot also go to another show. There is also the outside chance that Toonami will simply lose 11 PM when Jack ends, but that doesn't seem to make much sense in the middle of the summer on the day that it moved UP to 11:30 last year! But maybe another hard-hitter from 2017, like the return of Aniplex to Toonami with Blue Exorcist Kyoto Saga, while not QUITE a "broadcast dub" but still speedy, would make more sense at 11:30 than Stardust. After all, at the very least this cour of AOT is only 12 episodes, and when it's over, that makes room for Stardust. A full cour break may be the best strategy after all.
  2. Not to mention the dual Family Guy that would have gone before them! I seriously thought they were going to cut that out when Family Guy was supposed to come on. I guess I underestimated their stupidity! On the flipside, it WAS a good excuse to not air new episodes of these shows on the same night as the Final Four!
  3. Actually, I've noticed Episode 10 was like this as well. I don't remember about 7 and 4, but I think they might have been too. Point is, for some reason they need the longer recap on the first episode of each OVA. But there is also a point coming up where one OVA will end in the middle of an episode and another will begin. Can't remember if it's the boundary between OVAs 5 & 6 or OVAs 6 & 7, but I THINK it's 5 & 6. OH HEY, PAGE 5!
  4. Wow, this made it to 5 pages and Gundam didn't? I'm at a loss for words!
  5. If we get to Page 5 I'll post some cool images from this episode...
  6. Yeah, I'm not looking forward to Tuesday morning; if it somehow does well I'll be pleasantly surprised. That being said, I totally expect 8 PM to blow away what Super usually does, though from there it's probably downhill. How many crows you got in that suit, Itachi?
  7. Yep, THIS just happened! Suck it, Naruto!
  8. Yeah, 2016 was the year of Sasuke Shippuden on Toonami! 2017 we go back to Naruto!
  9. Boy, this late ass timeslot really killed discussion of this show! We're on page 4 and we spent most of that talking about how mochi isn't a gay moose...
  10. You're no gay moose; THIS is a gay moose!! This might be the worst image I've ever reposted...
  11. I thought that was odd too. There was one scene in EVA 1.11 where we were treated to a close-up of Shinji's butt for like 10 seconds for like no reason. BRIGHT NOA!!!
  12. Fun fact: this is the first episode I don't own on DVD.
  13. It might take a break after 52, but I kinda hope not. There are 148 total. That's 49*3+1, so I don't know if that's where the break may be. If it takes a break for anything, I'd want it to be Blue Exorcist Season 2. Or maybe JoJo: Stardust Crusaders.
  14. Ah, gotcha. You might say the Shadow Beasts have a bad wrap, but it's the Phantom Troupe that has the bad rap!
  15. What are you talking about?
  16. Hunter x Hunter really is off the chain tonight! Tom should say that!
  17. On-screen was TV-MA, but my DVR says TV-14LV. That definitely earned the TV-MA!
  18. This is the bloodiest thing Toonami has aired since Hellsing by far. I don't think Kill la Kill or Parasyte came anywhere near this close!
  19. So I guess this means he kicked his ass with his penis? Now THAT's original! :fap: ::spin:: :::
  20. Figures that Tokyo Ghoul would have to replace One Piece and then taunt us with the main character wearing an eyepatch!
  21. It was anachronistic because this is set in 1939, and the "electric" guitar wasn't invented until the late 1940s or early 1950s. Even so, I didn't consider that at the time, it caught me by surprise, and I laughed my ass off! Well played, JJBA!
  22. Videl didn't die; she just got her ass kicked!
