Last time I'm watching thru the block now! Funny, the thing that ignited Vegeta's rage in Super was Beerus attacking Bulma, when just 5 minutes before everyone on earth was under the gun! Then on DBZ Kai it's the return of Goku--but not much else happened! Now JoJo is streaming and it's his illusory showdown with Esidisi! Plus Lisa Lisa just revealed that she has the Red Stone of Aja! Gundam Unicorn is streaming now, and this episode is a straight-up visual feast of eye-poppingly awesome explosions!! I'll cut right to the chase--here is how I rank these episodes: #8 Shippuden (2nd worst picture and crap filler plot) #7 Ghost in the Shell (In SD so looks like crap; story is timeless) #6 DBZ Kai Final Chapters #5 Dragon Ball Super #4 One Piece (What a sad tale!) #3 Hunter x Hunter (Feel the RAGE!!) #2 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure #1 Gundam Unicorn

I've never seen G Gundam and I really should. Seems to me like I would enjoy it as much as I did Gurren Lagann, another crazy, over-the-top mecha show that still managed to have some very mature underlying themes. Damn near a masterpiece, that one! Anyway, I can sort of understand Gundam Unicorn's new position as the 7th show on the lineup. It makes sense if you consider the lineup of 9 shows in groups of 3: Top-Tier Headliners: Samurai Jack; Dragon Ball Super; Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters -- The uber-popular "God-tier", probably more popular than any other headlining shows in the past, even Attack on Titan, which is rumored to join this tier after Samurai Jack ends with new dub premiere episodes! They're also friendly enough for kids who stay up and watch them with their parents, though if AOT returns I don't think we can argue that anymore. Mid-block Midcarders: JoJo; Tokyo Ghoul; Hunter x Hunter -- The still popular but less popular level, and kids probably shouldn't be watching these, the true "meat" of Toonami. Mature scenes abound, as every episode of Tokyo Ghoul will probably get a TV-MA and occasionally JoJo and Hunter x Hunter cross the boundary from their blanket TV-14 into TV-MA as well (though the latter does also go TV-PG). End-block "Buried Treasure": Gundam Unicorn; Naruto Shippuden; Ghost In The Shell -- Still popular though their popularity has aged quite a bit, and so have the shows themselves. Also tend to contain a lot of talking and complex politics that might be hard to get into for first timers. As far as content ratings, they all tend to be less mature than the mid-block, but still contain a ton of destruction and wanton loss of human life, especially in the case of Gundam and Ghost.

Doubt it's 1000--I'd say it's a contender (Crystal) to take DBZ Kai's place in 2018!

I'd say One Piece's next best chance is when DBZ Kai's ending. It's uncertain if JoJo is taking a break, but recent signs seem to point to "no!"

Even IF you never know what part of the song you're gonna get in the 1 minute 30 second ED at the end of each episode? BTW, here's that count so far: Beginning - 14x (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19) Breakdown - 2x (14, 21) Solo - 2x (15, 20) (also used as BGM in the training montage in 16, but that's not the ED) Ending - 3x (5, 8, 16) Edit: I had misclassified 13 as ending with the end of "Roundabout;" it was in fact the beginning!
