  1. What the hell is with these new ranks, and how high was the person who came up with them!? I don't even know what I am anymore!! ::spin::
  2. What the hell ELSE is coming out this weekend? NOTHING that I can see! Gotta hand it to them, they picked a GOOD weekend to premiere it! I doubt CHiPs or Life will beat it, and Beauty and the Beast is an uncertainty in its 3rd week! Ditto for Power Rangers in its 2nd. Therefore, I predict it will debut at #1 but on an otherwise weak box office weekend!
  3. In Gundam, maybe. In JoJo, he's only been the policeman that "New York's" JoJo (the current one) encounters in Episode 10...
  4. Probably wouldn't be the next few episodes of the Battle Tendency dub, since they're not dub premieres. Remember, Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency were released by Warner almost a year before the first episode of JoJo premiered on Toonami! Also, JYB gets recast as someone new in Stardust Crusaders!? Interesting, because he's not in Battle Tendency!
  5. While I can applaud Adult Swim/Toonami for streaming GITS the week before the movie comes out, they're doing two head-scratchingly dumb things: [*]Streaming 2nd Gig instead of the first season, and [*]Streaming the old "shit-D" version of it instead of the new HD version! The latter problem also plagues the weekend Toonami stream, BTW. Well, check it out with your phone if you dare. I'd say your laptop, but trust me, it looks like shit!
  6. Glad I finally got to see this one all the way through. Only caught Piccolo's concede live. Krillin beat Pintar in ONE PUUUUUUUUUNCH! Then slapped him around and kicked his ass out of the ring!
  7. I thought maybe the 8 PM airing had used the English version of the ED, but it turns out it didn't. It did, however, contain topicals for Samurai Jack and Sand Whale & Me later on that night!
  8. FINALLY getting to see this one all the way through--let's see whatcha got, S5 E3 AKA #55 AKA "XCIV" -- "94" Oh man, that was awesome! It seems like Ashi survived, but how about the other two? Being thrown into snowdrifts from high places isn't necessarily fatal. The snow CAN break a fall, which I think is what they're going for here. And of course Jack survived, as we know from the topical!
  9. Why would they premiere the first episode of Stardust at Anime Boston? Besides, that wouldn't exactly be a premiere since it looks like they'll be using those test dubs for the first 3 episodes. Maybe they'll show the first 3 episodes and premiere the FOURTH episode??
  10. Ranking the episodes that were streaming this weekend, we have: #8: Shippuden (What the hell is even going on here!?) #7: DragonBall Z Kai: The Final Chapters (The only part of this that was even remotely interesting was the video!) #6: Ghost In The Shell (Timeless story, crappy picture) #5: Dragon Ball Super (The Vegeta/Beerus fight was cool; otherwise not much else happened!) #4: Gundam Unicorn (Calm before the storm episode; explore wreckage of Laplace, find nothing...) #3: One Piece (This one wrapped the Thriller Bark arc up quite nicely!) #2: Hunter x Hunter (I thought it was Ten Nen Men, turns out it was 11. Compelling story!) #1: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (Joke's on you, JoJo; turns out she's 50 and RELATED TO YOU!)
  11. Considering that slot's first vacancy would be April 29th, I'm thinking March 29th for the announcement kinda like they did with Kai and Super being announced on December 7th for a January 7th debut, and Ghost In The Shell HD on like January 4th for a February 4th debut! Then again, Tokyo Ghoul was a complete surprise on March 10th for its March 25th debut, so maybe not?
  12. Yes but airing it ahead of dub premieres sounds like kind of a bad call to me. Yes, that's currently the case with Hunter x Hunter, but that's a long-runner whose subbed version is about 5 years old. Assuming JoJo just keeps on going into Stardust Crusaders, that slot will become dub premiere as well in about 8 weeks (the first 3 episodes, assuming they use the same tracks, were debuted on Crunchyroll as a test dub in 2014.) Iron-Blooded Orphans did fine at 1 AM with Season 1 so it stands to reason it should at least regain that timeslot for Season 2 (if Adult Swim even wants to bring it back after Unicorn stank up the place with its ratings...) So if [as] hasn't lost faith in Gundam, I would expect IBO S2 to start at 1 and Tokyo Ghoul Square Root A (the 2nd season) to start at 2. The issue is that there are 11 episodes left in Unicorn, while Tokyo Ghoul has 12 episodes in its first season. So, how should Toonami handle this, if IBO needs to regain 1 AM for Season 2? Option 1: Nothing out of the ordinary; Ghoul just drops to 2 AM with the final episode of the first season. Sorry, but I think that would suck for Ghoul fans! Option 2: Short "hype" Gundam IBO S1 marathon beginning after Tokyo Ghoul the week after Unicorn ends and before IBO S2 premieres. Option 3: Sand Whale & Me marathon (the 5 episodes back-to-back-to-back) in the 2 AM timeslot the week after Unicorn ends. It will be interesting to see what they do regarding IBO S2, if they decide to give it a spin anyway! But it would be a dub premiere so I at least believe it deserves better billing than Tokyo Ghoul!
  13. Sure is a good thing we can't see any of this! :::
  14. I can only imagine the fangasm if it turns out it's Bright Noa piloting this thing! I've seen it, but I honestly can't remember!
  15. I fully expect the 2nd half to get buried at 2 AM while the Season 2 of IBO regains 1 AM. I think [as] is aware that it's crap but they want the first half to do well.
  16. DirecTv? I have it on DVD anyway, but might be slightly more convenient...
  17. PAIN!! Just like that, we're back to canon next week!
  18. Episode 151, huh? Too bad I feel weird like I need to lay off alcohol and caffeine for a while, or else I would totally have a Bacardi 151 during this episode!
  19. The theme for tonight is EPIC cliffhangers!
