  5. You mean no simul-dub, or it will never be dubbed at all??
  6. Huh? You must have me mixed up with someone else. I most certainly have never said Toonami is about to end. Am I a realist who realizes Toonami has competition and doesn't always get the best ratings? Of course. But that's a far cry from saying it's gonna get cancelled again soon! This [as] Toonami is most likely gonna outlive the old CN Toonami!!
  7. The irony is that it may be the mass-gathering super-spreader events that are the REAL catalyst for this pandemic, so recording in booths may actually be relatively safe! I'll bet they'll be back in the booth by July, but we still won't be having sporting events with fans until at least September.
  8. But Toonami had to deal with the Swine Flu in 2009--oh right. Not about to dare declare Toonami over but it is certainly fair to say they're in kind of a weakened state right now.
  9. I dunno; beats the hell outta me! https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-12-million-watch-graduate-together-america-honors-the-high-school-class-of-2020-across-various-networks/ So there have it. Family Guy couldn't even muster 700K and it's Toonami who suffers. Third-worst rated block of the year so far in both total viewers and Adults 18-49, but as for the 12-3 AM time frame, in 18-49, this lineup was actually the second-worst. Amazingly enough, Mob Psycho rebounded from Paranoia Agent, and that boost was enough to beat its premiere on November 3rd, 2018 in 18-49! So now in 18-49, this early-block rerun is 2 for 2 in outrating its premiere! Perhaps premieres really don't have that much value to the block over reruns, despite Toonami's near-purging the block of them last summer?
  10. I have the West Coast feed, so 7:30 AM for me!! I usually listen on the way to work!
  11. Shippuden will always be in premieres, though I'll admit a 3-hour block of reruns back-to-back followed by one premiere would be beyond bizarre (no pun intended). And you have to think at some point we'll get Food Wars and the like back.
  12. Well, the wording he used was "cut", not "slashed." And from what we previously knew, what's happening now would more likely affect the 2021 budget if it resets every year, but I suppose the 2020 budget was actually made prior to the year's beginning, but had to be adjusted downward about 2 months in. This is all speculation, of course, but DeMarco's statement that the budget was cut at least partially supports this hypothesis.
  13. I had a feeling that due to UFC, it would be a rough week for Toonami, but at least MHA managed to beat the ESPN SportsCenter that came afterward in total viewers and a few key demos: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-5-16-2020.html Oddly enough, we now get Paranoia Agent reported on. Go figure!
  14. Where is your information that the budget is "slashed?" I haven't seen that indicated anywhere! All I HAVE seen is an acknowledgment that Toonami will have a more difficult time acquiring shows due to the pandemic.
  15. My best theory is that they have decided to simply rerun the last 3 episodes to allow FUNimation time to catch up. That means that 84 will get 2 runs (4/25 and 5/23), 85 will get THREE (5/2, 5/9, and 5/30), 86 will get 2 (5/16 and 6/6), and 87 will resume premieres on 6/13 with 88 hopefully airing on 6/20. Then maybe it's a special on 6/27? Not sure what the blue hell they're thinking by rewinding the clock back to just episode 84. And also, I guess I could point out the absurdity of having the same episode play THREE times in one month, but why bother??
  16. I think that's fair to say at this point. I was thinking an MHA marathon would make sense, but it looks like they won't even be going for that. Black Clover is firing on all cylinders right now, and it is long overdue for a marathon, so it would have made sense too. But I guess we'll just keep on truckin' with the normal lineup, even if the first half is all reruns.
  17. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/jojo-bizarre-adventure-golden-wind/episode-26/.145681 3.5 stars - this episode raised a lot of unanswered questions! Hopefully in time some of these mysteries will be revealed!
  18. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/black-clover/episode-117/.155458 4 stars. This episode contained one of the most fundamental twists yet!
  19. Interesting critique on the insert song "Hero Too" in this review: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-86/.157852 4 stars. Apparently the awkwardness cost it a Star.
  20. I feared we might not get the ED with this flashback episode, but I was wrong! STAND UP!!
