  1. Episodio 29: Get To The Roman Coliseum! (Verso il Colosseo di Roma) GioGio's back, baby!! And at a brand new less bizarre time: 12:30 AM, this (8/1-8/2) and every Saturday night, after a classic episode of Dragon Ball Super!! Only Toonami!!!
  2. That effectively extends it through August 15th at this point. If they can keep this up weekly, maybe skipping one more Sunday, we can make it to the end of August.
  3. Numbers for DBS and Ballmastrz finally came in, and they look pretty good: https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-fox-tops-all-key-figures-with-mlb-baseball/ Dragon Ball Super (repeat) (Adult Swim, 12:00 AM, 30 min.) • 0.524 million viewers • 0.349 million adults 18-49 • 0.27 A18-49 • 0.26 A25-54 • 0.08 A55+ Rick & Morty Short Rick & Morty vs. Genocider (P) (Adult Swim, 12:30 AM, 15 min.) • 0.483 million viewers • 0.340 million adults 18-49 • 0.26 A18-49 • 0.24 A25-54 • 0.07 A55+ Paranoia Agent (repeat) (Adult Swim, 12:45 AM, 35 min.) • 0.422 million viewers • 0.306 million adults 18-49 • 0.24 A18-49 • 0.23 A25-54 • 0.04 A55+ Mob Psycho 100 (repeat) (Adult Swim, 1:20 AM, 30 min.) • 0.391 million viewers • 0.298 million adults 18-49 • 0.23 A18-49 • 0.22 A25-54 • 0.03 A55+ Black Clover (repeat) (Adult Swim, 1:50 AM, 40 min.) • 0.363 million viewers • 0.278 million adults 18-49 • 0.21 A18-49 • 0.20 A25-54 • 0.03 A55+ Ballmastrz: 9009 (repeat) (Adult Swim, 2:30 AM, 15 min.) • 0.316 million viewers • 0.235 million adults 18-49 • 0.18 A18-49 • 0.17 A25-54 • 0.03 A55+ Ballmastrz: 9009 (repeat) (Adult Swim, 2:45 AM, 15 min.) • 0.309 million viewers • 0.231 million adults 18-49 • 0.18 A18-49 • 0.16 A25-54 • 0.03 A55+ Naruto: Shippuden (repeat) (Adult Swim, 3:00 AM, 30 min.) • 0.283 million viewers • 0.197 million adults 18-49 • 0.15 A18-49 • 0.13 A25-54 • 0.03 A55+ Nothing from 12-3 AM under 300K or 230K 18-49--not sure when that happened last! *checks, looks* Wow, it was just 2 weeks ago, when DBS came back? Alrighty then!
  4. Believe it or not, Toonami's Rick & Morty short actually did better than Robot Chicken on Sunday night, despite airing 30-45 minutes later: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-sunday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-26-2020.html
  5. Yes, Black Clover will probably take a break from the block or at least go into reruns. But you are wrong that it's never happened before that a show had its first episodes released by other means before showing up on Toonami in dub premieres. It's happened at least twice: with Season 3 of Attack On Titan and JoJo Part 3: Stardust Crusaders. The former aired its first episode in theaters as a sneak peek in 2018, and the latter had a limited stream of the first 3 episodes way back on Independence Day Weekend 2014 before popping up on Toonami 3 years later (in fact exactly 3 years ago today to the day!) Both shows were dub premieres on Toonami once they got past the sneak peek episodes. I don't see Fire Force Season 2 "barely being on the block before getting removed prematurely". Think about what time of year that is: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. They've got 20 weeks to get 4-5 episodes done to go the distance. They'll probably do more. What's going on right now is FUNimation's resources are getting diverted to winter/spring shows to finish first. Once those are done, I believe they'll pay more attention to Black Clover and Fire Force.
  6. You're assuming that the same rules that apply to Black Clover, that it must stream on Funimation NOW first before airing on Toonami, and the rules that applied to MHA, apply to Fire Force. But we don't know for sure that is the case; it could be that beyond the first 2 episodes, the deal becomes more like Attack on Titan, in that Toonami gets first dibs and dubbing is under way semi-clandestinely. And also, who's to say Toonami won't surprise us and air an episode of BC that hasn't streamed on FUNiNOW yet??
  7. I sure hope not, but you may be right. Jojo got done after only a 2-month hiatus!
  8. It won't air at 1:30. Losing SAO resulted in us losing 11:30 in April, so I'd say if anything can bring it back, it's SAO's return at midnight.
  9. Is it just that particular area of Texas that got trashed especially hard by either COVID or Hanna!? Black Clover will be either going on hiatus or into reruns on Toonami soon at this rate!
  10. At 1:30, you may be right. Food Wars Season 3 has a shot, but I'd say SAO is high-profile enough that if it comes back in August, it would push DBS up to 11:30 and create a midnight dub premiere hour. Or maybe DBS falls to midblock? Nah, can't see that happening. Even in reruns, it seems to gel well with Family Guy better than most dub premieres.
  11. The same was said about MHA in 2017... The word "ever" was not used in the case of Mob Season 2. It was more along the lines of "No matter how hard we try".
  12. Well, we still don't know how Super did in total viewers, but... http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-25-2020.html "Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.07/211K & 0.11/249K and 0.27, compared to last week’s 0.08/215K & 0.09/217K and 0.18/436K, a special RICK & MORTY short at 0.26, PARANOIA AGENT up 0.09 to 0.24/422K, MOB PSYCHO 100 up 0.07 to 0.23/391K, BLACK CLOVER up 0.07 to 0.22/363K, and NARUTO up 0.04 to 0.15/283K."
  13. To be fair, it did get fewer total viewers than Paranoia Agent did at its peak with Episode 11. I have high hopes for JoJo's return. It COULD crack 500K quite easily!
  14. Well guess what? We actually DID have a cable original air on Toonami in the month of July after all! Here's how it did: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-7-25-2020.html Won the night in Adults 18-34, and Female and Male 12-34! Plus #2 in Adults 18-49. Not bad for a total surprise! And this came as no surprise 5 years ago: More to come!
  15. Fire Force Season 2 is now coming October 24th. That's this year. How's that egg on your face taste? Though granted, between Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas/New Years, it's coming out in a wasteland of potential marathon interruptions that will probably result in only 6-7 episodes premiering before the end of the year, but still...
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they say at AX Lite that the dub would be streaming in August? If Toonami still has dibs on all the dub premieres of the mainstream series, that means that, yes, it would be coming in August! And BTW, in my book, streaming on [as]'s piddly little app still counts as "Streaming!"
  17. I guess Shippuden also counts, kinda sorta...
  18. If that's the case, why not just go ahead and bump Black Clover up to 1 AM and stick Fire Force at 1:30? Also, I'm keeping my November recording of Episode 15 because I'll bet they'll shorten "Mayday" this time. Prove me wrong, Toonami!
  19. Who said it has to be finished? It just has to have enough episodes done so that it can continuously air once a week for 12 weeks, save for Labor Day Weekend (9/5) and Halloween. For SAO to get its first ever-marathon on Halloween might be kinda fun too!
  20. The X-Factor is SAO, and that's a strong show, but not strong enough to send DBS back to the vault...
  21. I will LOL so hard if they end up slotting SAO:A WOU 2 (Electric Boogaloo) in Black Clover's place at 1:30, but I don't think they'll do that. If we're not going directly into Mob Psycho 100 Season 2, look for that to either: replace Mob at 1 AM on August 9th, play an annoying game of switcheroo with JoJo and stick it at 1 AM while it takes 12:30, or to expand Toonami to 11:30 and take over Midnight. SAO is a pretty strong show, and even broke 500K a couple of times back in March and April, including for its mid-season finale. In fact, Toonami didn't lose Midnight until that mid-season of SAO ended. This really could be the SERIES finale for SAO, so I doubt they'll mid-block it. That could also lead Toonami to keep 11:30 for the foreseeable future if AOT's final season and/or MHA Season 5 is ready to go afterward, but I think they'll keep the lead slot DBS until the originals are ready in the second half of 2021, though Uzumaki may grace us with its twisted presence in a later timeslot in the first half.
  22. Staying at 3 hours 30 minutes, and Jack is back!
  23. Somebody should tell this guy that Toonami stopped airing Boruto...
