  1. The caped crusader rides just after midnight!!! Tune in at 12:30 AM tonight (10/16-17/21) for this completely nuts mashup of Batman and Ninjas! Only Toonami!!!
  2. I think it's a foregone conclusion that MHA Season 5 will conclude in the Midnight Hour on November 6th, but I don't think it's out of the question for a new show to debut that night either. Since [as] and maybe Toonami have an extra hour to play with, you couldn't use it better than to also debut Demon Slayer Season 2 that night at 1 AM, though the rest of the schedule admittedly would get a little silly after that: 1st 2AM - Yashahime #16 1st 2:30 - Food Wars! 4th Plate #9 2nd 2AM - Food Wars! 4th Plate #10 2nd 2:30 - Naruto Shippuden #361 3 AM - Dr. Stone #31 3:30 - Fena: Pirate Princess #1 (Bye, Super) Then the following week, same schedule, but Yashahime moves back up to 1:30 and only one episode of Food Wars! (4th Plate #11) runs at 2.
  3. I hope these movies do gangbusters for Toonami. Batman movies last year were some of the highest-rated programs of 2020, averaging over 500K. I think RERUNNING these movies during plain ol' [as] after CN airs a Live Action DC movie at some point wouldn't be a bad move. Probably do better ratings than Naruto/AD/Rick. But if their content was objectionable enough to have to air at 12:30 AM, that might be a problem. It should be noted that 10/23/21 will be the first time Toonami on [as] will have ever aired nothing but animation from the same calendar year from start to finish. Previously, the most it's ever had percentage-wise is 57%, 4 shows out of 7, from 2020: SAOAWOU2; Black Clover; Fire Force; and Gemusetto back in November.
  4. Maybe they feel it will do better in the lead-up to Halloween than it would on Halloween weekend itself? I think at this point it's a foregone conclusion we'll get the normal lineup on Thanksgiving weekend this year. With both Christmas and New Year's Day on Saturdays this year, those are almost guaranteed to be marathons or some other sort of special event, though I suppose they COULD attempt the regular lineup on 1/1/22. I for one would like to see them air Gundam Thunderbolt one December. Could this be the year?
  5. Most of these Batman movies are from the past 3 years, as only Red Hood is from 2010, and of course Last Halloween is from THIS YEAR; frankly I'm SHOCKED Toonami was able to get it! To say I'm stoked is an understatement!
  6. Do you have any idea how much DeMarco and Co. probably lusted after those Batman animated movies but couldn't get them, and now they CAN!? That's really all that matters here, and who really cares if DC FanDome facilitated it!? I'm excited as hell about all these Batman movies!
  7. Eh, I guess you're half-right. I expected we would get Batman Long Halloween eventually, but more likely the week before Halloween next year. I predicted a Fena marathon and some kind of "spooky" marathon. At least it's not Promised Neverland Season 2!
  8. Batman: The Long Halloween is actually a movie series from 2021! This is pretty damn huge! I thought Batman Ninja was big, but this is like Trick-or-treat jack o'lantern jackpot full of the best candies big!!!!
  9. I'd say it's more likely to be February following the conclusion of Blade Runner: Black Lotus. THIS JUST IN!!! Aaaaaand a marathon of Fena on October 30th (starting curiously at 10:30), which means we don't get the regular lineup back (probably with a full hour of MHA) until November 6th!
  10. They probably already have made a few of them. I will be shocked if they don't already have Demon Slayer Season 2 locked down. I can see a bunch of reasons to hold off on making announcements of the new shows until promos during Batman night, since ratings will be much higher.
  11. In this thread, we talk about how, while we know for certain that we get an epic night of Batman this Saturday, and we know Blade Runner: Black Lotus is coming November 13th, practically everything else about Toonami is a big fat question mark, and here's why... SHOWS ENDING (EPISODES LEFT) Black Clover (0) Fena: Pirate Princess (1) My Hero Academia (2) Food Wars (4?) Yashahime Season 1 (8? 11?) By December, with the exception of Shippuden, we will have an almost completely different lineup. So it would really behoove Toonami to announce what the heck it's gonna do with some of those rotating timeslots! Low hanging fruit: Demon Slayer Season 2; Jujutsu Kaisen; Ass Class Season 2; Harley Quinn Season 2?? (Hell, they ARE airing Batman movies, and you couldn't pick a better time to announce it, especially if it's allowed to air uncut and uncensored at 2 AM/11 PM PT or something!) Longshots: SSSS.Dynazenon; Lupin III Part 6; Mob Psycho Season 2; Boruto Season 2 One thing is for certain: I expect to be surprised! Bring it on, Toonami!!
  12. Updated: "Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: FENA: PIRATE PRINCESS was steady at 0.10, MY HERO ACADEMIA up 0.02 to 0.10, YASHAHIME up 0.04 to 0.10, FOOD WARS up 0.02 to 0.09, BLACK CLOVER at 0.07/0.06 compared to last week’s 0.07, NARUTO up 0.01 to 0.07, DR STONE down 0.02 to 0.04/119K, and DRAGON BALL down 0.01 to 0.04/102K." Yashahime by far the greatest gainer, and nothing under 100K. I'll take that as a win, but I'll bet Batman movies get 400K-500K+ next week!
  13. Yashahime is so inconsistent. Last week it sucked; this week it was the #2 Toonami show (beating MHA) and actually pulled over 200K, even besting Fena in some key female demographics: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-saturday-10-9-2021-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html Also interesting is this time the girls actually seemed to watch Toonami while the boys were watching a tsunami of sports. Though of course these numbers are still feeble, the F12-34 demographic outpaced the M12-34 by a 37%-50% margin. This post-Family Guy era Toonami seems to be running on girl power! All numbers were fairly consistent across all demographics for the first 4 shows, then fell over a cliff for the Black Clover anti-magic hour.
  14. Yeah, JoJo Part 6 won't be showing up anytime soon. JoJo Part 7 might even be on Netflix before Part 6 airs on Toonami. This might be the singular event which finally convinces me to subscribe to Netflix after years of shunning the streaming giant. My thoughts on streaming are that it's great for catching stuff away from a TV, but it should NEVER have been used to keep originals off regular TV. Especially not monster sports events; the idea that the USMNT game was just on Paramount+ is just absurd, though to be fair I think it actually DID air on CBS Sports Network. But anyway, I prefer to do other stuff with the 'net besides just watching stuff. TV isn't good for very much else except maybe playing video games through a console. But then again I guess I'm just kinda old school. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. Wow, they showed the Shenmue trailer during Dragon Ball Super! As much as I didn't see that coming, it kinda made perfect sense!
  16. Well, that closes the Grimoire until the movie comes out! And as for the reviews: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/black-clover/episode-169/.171045 - 3.5 Stars https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/black-clover/episode-170/.171307 - 4.5 Stars Now us Black Clover fans just have to wait for the movie!
  17. I agree. If you ask me, [as] should be airing Black Clover reruns at 5 AM weeknights leading into Samurai Jack instead of Shippuden. After all, Shippuden gets 5 timeslots on Saturday nights beginning October 23rd (3 on the 16th)!
  18. Episode #30 (206) - Prison Break This episode is HILARIOUS!! First time I've really laughed all night, because the first 6 shows were mostly humorless!
