I doubt we'll hear anything Saturday, but in terms of the likelihood of any of the Toonami/CR originals getting a second Season, the order is definitely: 1. Shenmue 2. Black Lotus 3. Fena However, Shenmue is not the last Toonami/CR original! That would in fact be Uzumaki, coming in October!

That's weird because I don't really consider Fena and BRBL "bad" shows. Fena started off with an excellent premise that got really bizarre and unsubtle in its last episode. Even so, it was included on many "best of" lists for 2021, along with fellow Toonami shows like Dr. Stone: Stone Wars. And BRBL hasn't had quite the same accolades, and say what you want about the Playstation 3-quality CGI animation, but really the only fault I can find with the writing is one character's seemingly pointless sacrifice. Nevertheless, it now has a comic, so at least Elle's story continues in some form! Shenmue dragged with the Wude arc in the middle, if you ask me, but as it got through the Yellow Heads and to the final confrontation with Lan Di it has certainly picked up steam.

There is also the fact that Shenmue beat 3 Busy Debras in total viewers and at least tied it in 18-49: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-sunday-4-24-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html Robot Chicken was pretty much always able to best its timeslot counterpart the night before, but 3BD doesn't seem to be as capable.

Week 4 of April is in the books, and there was some improvement in both Shenmue and AOT as they aired their respective (mid-)seasons' Penultimate episodes: https://showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-saturday-4-23-2022-top-150-cable-originals-network-finals.html The female 12-34 demographic came through pretty bigly for #30 Shenmue. They must really dig Joy. They stuck around for #34 AOT but then the demos leveled off for #44 Ass Class. And then to round out the Top 50, the 2:30 AM episode of One Piece made a rare #50 appearance as Jinbei battled Arlong in the Sun Pirates flashback, but Lupin missed the Top 50, and oddly enough the 2 AM episode of One Piece is nowhere to be found. I just noticed it's also pretty impressive that Shenmue and AOT beat #35 THE BATMAN 2022 in 18-49, already on HBO after premiering in theaters March 4th!

This is a damn good show and I'm gonna hate to see it go! But after tonight, unless it gets doubled-up again because they can only bring in one new show on May 7th, it has 7 weeks left to go.
