Super Mario RPG. Had no idea what an RPG was and rented it from Blockbuster, because Mario. I had no idea what I was doing since I started on someone else's save file which was in Land's End with the whirlpools. Eventually I figured out to start a new game and really got into it from there.

PS4 if you're a weeb or love movie games(Uncharted, Last of Us, new GoW). Otherwise it doesn't matter. And Switch doesn't suck.
