I just say this because I wanted to ask what on earth happened to make the show transition from Kaneki having to adjust to his new diet of dubious coffee while trying to make new friends that won't make him hungry, to getting into fights with superpowered face-distorting Bastards who are after the wascally wabbits. It just threw me off how battle anime it got when the first couple episodes were him throwing up and trying to figure out what exactly he's become after the bite.

I'm watching it again as it airs, but it just sucks. He said it rushes a lot of things which makes everything seem more edgy and jarring, that the way characers act make more sense and big events come off better when given more room to breathe. So basically Pierott just wanted to rush to the crazy stuff for whatever reason. It's a shame. On the same token though can't really say I feel like dropping everything and reading the manga right now either. Because it was highly requested unfortunately and Demarco HAS TO GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT.

I mean.... the most popular anime in the US of 2016 was Re Zero, and it didn't even place on the request list? Instead one of the top requests is a mediocre at best anime from 2014 with a second season that's pure filler? That just strikes me as odd.

Basically, the loli's mother got killed by one of the special Anti-Ghoul detectives, and Kaneki wants to help Touka exact revenge in whatever way he can.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's some spamming involved, honestly. I wish they would have gotten Re: Zero, too. Has an intriguing concept and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
