quebecelegy Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 i've never had to make a deposit for a credit card. was it a secured line? yeah. i have zero credit.
Naraku4656 Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 yeah. i have zero credit. ah. secured credit isn't so bad. it gets bad when you have 3 credit card and you lose track of what you've spent on which
Swimmod_Luna Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I have one credit card that I pay off in full every month
Naraku4656 Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 I have one credit card that I pay off in full every month i have three that i pay off in full every month and always have. i've never held a balance .
PhilosipherStoned Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 credit cards are useless unless you are trying to build your credit.. There is a lot of good credit lines these days, but there are also still plenty of credit cards out there designed for failure (on your part anyway) Unless you are the kind of person that can max out a credit card because you know you are about to have a large sum of money coming in soon there are plenty of better ways to build your credit. I actually have been able to make large credit card purchases the last few years knowing I'd get a large check or something before the bill is due, I'm still not a fan of credit cards.. I have one from Chase for Amazon Rewards, and one from Sears, both made items I bought cheaper as incentive to get them so.. That's why I have them.

Swimmod_Luna Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 i have three that i pay off in full every month and always have. i've never held a balance . Why do you need 3
Naraku4656 Posted May 8, 2017 Author Posted May 8, 2017 Why do you need 3 i have one for cashback which is my main card, one for cashback on other things the first doesn't do so well, and the third really only for emergencies that i rarely ever touch. also one of them is really old and i can't close it because it's my oldest.
PhilosipherStoned Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Trust me my credit score is still 707 even though I;ve been told that due to my mortgage loan, and the loan I had to take out to let this company reinforce my house with their highgrade garbage has made it harder for me to get anything really pricy to be financed... eh I'm satisfied with the work they did, but Ihad to finance another loan on top of my mortgage for it and that dropped my credit score alot..even though I pay all my bills on time and sometimes pay 3 times the amount I owe to stay ahead. I can keep track of all my purchases with a friggin debit card.. I love my bank though. credit CARDS are uneccesary is all I'm saying. I have a hard time believing you NEED 3, but if it works for you, and you arent paying ANY apr then more power to you.. If your using credit cards JUST to keep better track of your spendings and you are ok with a little apr on basic everyday purchases then I gotta say you should rethink that.

Keep in mind you're arguing with an accountant that is constantly in fear he'll lose his job and also apparently broke none stop. I don't hate the kid but Accounting may not be his forte
Gyaos Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 I typically use my credit cards to buy things between $10-$25. I never go beyond that. The biggest debt I have ever had to pay back was for my EMT classes (around $1,000 in loans, not including fees that I paid with money I saved up). I don't like going beyond that. Unless I can get a good deal to pay something off with my good credit, I only use the cards to pad my credit score with low-cost purchases. I know people who've used their cards to pay off $200 in bills. FUCK that.

PerfectFlowingHair Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Credit cards are Satan's snare for the weak... make you pay more than you already are...
Ginguy Posted May 8, 2017 Posted May 8, 2017 Credit cards aren't bad as long as you have the money to pay em off. It is when you are a college kid and you get one and have no real income but run it up and then have to make high interest payments that they become a trap.
