Attack on Titan didn't, or My Roommate is a Cat (great show by the way,) and ironically I don't remember anything like that in Kenshin. But I'm not going to watch Kenshin again to check. Quote

There are a couple other brief filler arcs after this, but those are tie-ins to the most recent movie release at the time.
