Also, the tv weighed like 600 pounds and had a pull knob to turn on. You had to wait for the tubes to warm up and the screen started with a tiny dot in the center that slowly got bigger.

Blue food coloring in general doesn't break down at all.  

Fun story - I solved the case of who/what destroyed the bathroom at WS after seeing the aftermath for 0.01 seconds. It was the person who ate the piece with the biggest buttercream BLUE rose on Chris' Happy Vasectomy cake. Kind of surprised they didn't need an inflatable pillow on their work chair after that bomb went off.
